Level up bug?

When Annah joined our party, Nameless trained as a thief. When he tried to level up, the screen where you accept the points does not work. The button won't work and I have to restart the computer. I have tried in other areas and it still does not work. He can level up as a mage and fighter, just not as a thief.

Try updating the game if it isnt already at the curent version, it should fix almost all the issues, as far as i know this was one of them,

I used the official patch. I checked the readme and it talks about a blank dialogue box on trying to level up--mine wasn't blank. The unofficial patch didn't list anything of that type.

Could try uninstal/reinstall if all else fails, and not all patch fixes are listed in some cases.

I found that I can't level up with Annah. It seems like I won't be able to use a thief, except for Annah at her beginning level. Do I need a thief?

You don't need a thief complete the game.

If you're sure you have the official patch installed, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

I'm afraid to try that in case my saves won't work. I've heard of problems with saves. I left Annah in the lower market, so if I need her I can come back and get her. I don't think I will and she was kind of a handicap anyway.
