Jaheira or Mazzy?

I'm playing a good party currently consisting of:
-My protagonist. Female Cavalier über-tank wielding the avenger.
-Keldorn. Using longswords.
-Sir Anomen, my lovely boyfriend (lol). Using hammer of thunderbolts, which will be upgraded to CF of course.
-Jaheira.
-Nalia.
-Yoshimo (will be replaced by Imoen).
I don't really find Jaheira useful. My three knights are awsome tanks and melee damage dealers. Nalia (and later Imoen aswell) provide me the magic firepower I need. I also have my protagonist and Anomen to cast priest spells.
Will Jaheira ever become useful or should I trade her in for Mazzy, who also fits better in my good paladin team?

Jaheira has an interesting personality, lots of banter, and can become very powerful in mid to late game. Plus, she has some of the best spells in the game, like Insect Plague (insta mage-killer!) and ironskins. Mazzy is more of the paladin-type and would fit your alignment better (she is great with missile weapons btw), but overal i find Jaheira to be more powerful and interesting.

I'd say Mazzy, but then again I don't like Jahera.
However, I think your party is a bit low on mages. How about playing with Aerie, she is great. A cleric mage is a really good combo and she is very powerfull especially later in the game.
And ofcourse, Welcome to GB, enjoy your stay.

may i suggest a change of weaponary? when you build the Crom Fayr, remember you are doing so to allow the weilder 25 strength. this is nigh on useless when is comes to Anomen because draw upon holy might and righteous magic will give him that 25 strength very easily, thus making him far more effective when weilding the destruction that is the Flail of Ages.
either have your paladin weild the hammer, or have Keldorn weild it in his off hand and a long sword in his main hand - will maximise the fighting power.

I don't like Jaheira's attitude either, but I'd recommend her anyway. As Moltovir said, her spells will become very handy later!
Anyway, I usually pick up my companions by their personality. Abilities count, of course, but I can't stand Aerie no matter how manny spells she has
So in general I'd recommend to choose whoever you like the best. It's a long journey, you gotta get on with your friends well

Jaheira is very powerful indeed, + she has the best character development in the game imo, very well made. Insect swarm is THE spell for mage/cleric killing, casting failure all over baby! As for mazzy, I'd rather go for valygar, knowning he has both missle and cc experiences, I would prefer him above mazzy if ud choose for the fighter class (two weapon - katana

). As for anomen, give him the crom faer and use him as tank as well

.
GL HF-> go for jaheira (switch edwin for nalia imo, thiefing for imoen)

Jaheira all the way, at high lev. she is one of the most powerful classes, definetly better than a pure fighter, and better than a cleric too (high lev. druid spells rocks: nature beauty, summon elemental/prince, insect plague/creeping doom, ironskin etc).

please edit his posts atleast, that is raw.
The reason why its not worth giving Anomen (sp?) the CF is because he has other ways of getting 25 strength. Other characters (like Aerie) are FAR more effective with the wepeon, so its wastefull to give it to him. - However, if he is your only warhammer proficient character, then by all means, give him it.

Only moderators of the assigned forum can moderate in that forum.
Otherwise i'd deleted it just after post time.
Using the ignore filter on Room 101 and Giant turtle for now is the only thing I can advice you.

oh man i missed it. someone wanna pm me as to what he said?
aerie is still a character who can get 25 strength with spells. Minsc is one of the best characters to use the crom. one proficiency in war hammer and he can put the crom in the off hand, making his main hand awesomely powerful.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I have decided to stick with Anomen, Keldorn, Nalia, Imoen and Jaheira.
Concerning the use of CF, I will still let Anomen have it.
Keldorn will be using Angurvadal that gives him enough strength.
My protagonist has great stats aswell as draw upon holy might. And I wouldn't trade in the avenger for CF
Jaheira can't use warhammers, and Imoen and Nalia will not fight at melee range.
Not to mention that from a RP:ish point of view, CF fits Anomen the best I think.

If you are referring to the special ability DUHM, remember that you will lose that ability somewhere along the game.

Maybe it's spoilers, but I cant remember losing any abilities while playing the game earlier. Is is just paladins who does?
Anyway, I have DUHM both as ability and spell. I won't lose both, will I?

Anyway, Paladin will gain DUHM anyway.
Only inquisitor doesn't have cleric spells as I recall..

Thrain, he jut sent a picture, didn't say anything. You don't want to see that, believe me.
One more thing to support Jaherira: you can challenge the Druid Grove Leader with her (her quests in good and interesting in general).

You have a bad memory then

You will lose all your special abilities when
spoiler your soul gets torn from your body. You won't lose your spell though; unless something drastic happens and you become a fallen pladin or something.
