SPOILER: Messup in Lysanne's Tomb

Elo all, I signed up for this forum recently to ask about two other issues - fortunately I found them both in the pinned threads. So, thank-you for that.

There are some spoilers ahead, but if you clicked this thread you've already approved of those, I guess.

The current issue is that in Lysanne's Tomb, there's this pedestal surrounded by four others, right? Well, almost instinctively from all the summoning chambers and whatnot - I thought that something surrounded by four pedestals should be destroyed! Or at least the surrounding pedestals should be.

Now, this wasn't the case here. However, one of the pedestals was actually destroyable. It got caught in a Fireball or a Cone of Cold or something, I wasn't even trying to destroy them back then - not that I was trying to preserve them either - so I wasn't really careful with what spells I unleashed upon the guardians... two for the price of one, I thought.

Anyway, I've now put all the gems in their respective remaining pedestals, but to no avail. It seems I need the fourth one... not a big surprize. I have no desire to play the dungeon through from scratch. Is there some console command for either creating a new such pedestal (for reference, I think it's the one for the Gem of Pain - not sure, though), or for unlocking the middle pedestal, or just for creating the items I would have gained from it? And possibly any experience involved. Thanks in advance.

Greetings and welcome.

I don't know of any commands that can spawn in the pillar that is destroyed.
But it is possible to give XP, spawn in items and other fun stuff.

I can't remember what is gained by the pillar, so will have to look it up for you. (or you can do so yourself in the toolset).

As for what commands there is availble - you can check out this page: http://nwn.bioware.com/dms/commands.html which displays the console commands in the game which can be used for various reasons.

Apparently, it's a quest item (Star Sapphire) - but I can't find a command for spawning items on that site.

Thats because its a quest item. These aren't shown on the spawn command list, the only place they are found (unless someone has made a spreadsheet of them or something) is by loading up the module in the toolset and searching about for that item.

You'll need to type the following into your chatbar at the bottom of the screen (case sensitive):

##DebugMode=1
[Press enter]
##dm_spawnitem M3Q1_A11_LIL_STA
[Press enter]
##DebugMode=0
[Press enter]

Also, on the "spawnitem" command, before pressing enter place your cursor in the spot on the ground where you want the item to spawn. Then you can pick it up as normal :)

Hope that helps!

Thanks, I'll try it right away.

And what I meant was, I couldn't find the spawn item command at all. I searched for "item" on that page, found nothing related to spawning them...

Yes, just taken a look and you're right, it isn't there.

wierd :D
Never noticed that before, I'm sure it has been listed.

Anyways - it should be in the game. (dm_spawnitem)

I had that problem. The spawn_item command is only available with add ons and patches, it does not come as part of the original game, at least not with gold edition

I have HotU, and I've been able to use two DM commands earlier without problems. I don't think this one will cause any such, either.

On a side note: The computer I have NWN installed on isn't connected to the network yet, so whenever I've wanted to have the walkthroughs handy for reference I've copied them to a .txt and saved them on a floppy. Now I was thinking, crap, will I have to find a working floppy again, or go out and get the one I used for the walkthroughs?

It seriously eluded me that I could just write that short command down. :D

Edit: typo

Nah if you have HotU it works fine. Although I would still advice making sure you're at the latest patch (1.62, 1.64 if you don't mind it being a Beta)
