Finding misplaced item

I found the skulls and was carrying them around for ages looking for Tyron.

I finally found him and realise that I no longer have the skulls! I checked back at my major stashing place (the warehouse in Tarant which I got the key to after clearing out the rats). They are not there.

I had given them to Magnus to carry, however Sogg also had them at one time.

I have gone back through previous saves and there is a 2 month period between the save when I had them and the next save, so they could be anywhere.

1) Is there any way to find where objects are by accessing a database associated with the game. They won't be in the original location, but if I can (by cheating) find where they are now, I can go back and collect them in the game.

2) Could one of my followers have dropped them (especially if they are overloaded or have a full inventory?)

3) If this is the case, have I any hope of finding them?

Twin Skulls

This is a tough one. I might solve it if you could send me all your saved games but any item dropped and not picked up for about 20 minuets or so will disappear.

Best choice is to search every chest and trash can in Arcanum. If you talked to the anthropologist in Tarant he will take the sculls and you have to kill him to get them back. However there are no points for solving the half-ogre Island quest but you may find it interesting once.

Tyron can be found in Caladon.

The skulls

I was told that Magnus may use the skulls as raw material. I cannot remember if it is iron ore or sheet metal, but he will use the skulls if told to build an invention requiring the ingrediant.

Magnus is a Smithy so he can make swords and armor. Look on the tech make-screen and see. I checked all found schematics and none had the skulls listed. There is one smithy item, The Iron Key, you can make after getting the schmatic in the Wheel clan but that one uses one hearstone and one mithral sheetmetal available in the Wheel clan and Stonecutter clan.

I believe the twin-skulls is only for the half-ogre island mini quest.
