my friends wants to know if Fable is worth spending $50 on. I have it myself, but my Xbox is having problems and I haven't had a chance to play it, and I don't want to lend the game to my friend either... he's not the type of guy who gives things back in a hurry... anyway , is Fable worth $50?????

If you want a fairly short game yeah but the good and evil parts and the side quests are worth getting the game and oh yeah u get to have sex

i beat it in about 20 hours, i guess it was worth it, kinda disappointing with all the hype that was put out over it, didnt really meet up to what i though it was gonna be like.

yeah man, but i figured for $50, i may as well stretch it out and make it as long as i could......

Hey is not that ahrd to beat in ten hours without the guide... at all actually, I beat it in nine without the guide but I've beatn it on four other accounts, but even the first time it only took me ten

Hahaha you BOTH suck I did it in five (two frickin' sittings, that was it). That having been said...

I don't think this game's worth fiddy bucks. I would pay about 30, maybe 35 but any higher, and I'd probably be inclined to buy something more practical. (like a bunch of frappucino's or somethin' )

although it does have a short storyline it is the type of game that is still fun to play over and over again. i definitly think it is worth the 50 bucks despite what the others think.

btw laughing at eachother and comparing the times it took you to beat the game is very immature and does not help answer the question

There are a number of fine RPGs that cost half of Fable or less, and offer far greater playing times. The game is competent but not inspired, and the playing time simply isn't worth anywhere near the asking price, IMO.

Hell yes! Fable is the "Halo 2" sort to speak, of RPG's for the Xbox. I work at Blockbuster so I can continulously rent it out to myself until I get the extra bling to buy it.

I love the game I truly do but I don't think it's worth the $50 bucks... I got a copy of it for like $5 buckroos (I hope I can actually say this) but truth be told... if I had the $50 buck in hand and could spend them as I wished I'd buy it just for the heck of having the original... the game's short and it disappointed a whole lot of ppl but the fact is that it disappointed them because of the high expectations they had... it's a good game.. it always depends on the kind game you are looking for... this is a fairly easy game but you can play it for quite a while if all you want it do chill out and walk .. to add my two cents to the how long how short... it took me about 12 hours the 1st time around to defeat Jack but played it for up to 54 hours just walking around and killing ppl

So if your buddies got the $50 bucks to spend them in frappucino then they would might as well buy the game.

well in my case i was renting the game from a friend at 50 cents an hour (some friend huh) and i beat in about 6 hours but i didnt do too many of the side quests
