The Seventh Door calls you!

Do you feel the Call?

Years ago, a shadowy group of friends started the Chamber of Seven Doors. They began with the First Door, the Door of Despair.

The Seven Doors was an organization of Shadow. The tainted influence of Light could not reach the Darke Lords which reside within the walled Halls of the Inner Chamber. The shadow group has spread its influence slowly, gaining members as it gained power. Sadly, its base of operations was shut down, its members scattered, and the final Door, the Seventh Door, was never Opened.

Six Doors so far. Six Doors Opened. Each led to a Fate:

The First Door. Despair.
The Second Door. Destruction.
The Third Door. Devestation.
The Fourth Door. Delusion.
The Fifth Door. Desperation.
The Sixth Door. Desolation.

And now, Seven years almost to the day since the Seven Doors were forged, the once un-named Seventh Door will today recieve its name, and thus, be Opened.

Welcome to the lair within the Seventh Door, the Door of Death.

The Seventh Door has been opened. Do you feel the Call?

sounds like something out of a Moody Blues tune.

You missed out decadence. Sad really.

Hehe. Actually, there's a bit of reason for that; one of the original Doorsmen was a Blues fan. I was never really into the lengthy explaination, but felt that just saying the old, "We are the Seven Doors. Join us or whither in our overwhelming Shadow" seemed a bit extreme :D . We've had far too many "good" groups here in SYM. I was hoping to start an evil one, for those who bend toward the Darke side :p . And hey, punting chickens is plenty evil! At least it shows plenty of imagination :D .

And "decadence"? I don't get it :o ...

Actually, I was deciding between this and an SYM Bar and Grille, also an idea borrowed from another forum (that one not defunct). I thought that the Bar and Grille would be too much like the Heathen Citadel, so I dropped the idea.

You don't "get" decadence? You should, it is good for the soul sometimes ;) :D

SYM has had more than it's fair share of bars and grills in the past, not to say that they are enough, just to point out that we are not amateurs! ;)

So, where do we go now? More long words beginning with the letter "D"?

actually, now I wait and see if any of the old crew's willing to join this forum and restart the Seven Doors :D . Doubt it though :( . In which case, the actual point of 7D is to play "devil's advocate". 7D has always been "the opposition" for every argument, because on the gaming forum we originated on, there was far too much agreement and it got boring quickly when there was nobody to argue with. We were seen as kinda "evil" so we adopted the whole "Darke Lords" thing to feed off of that :o .

Anyway, there are only a few rules involved:
1) never spam
2) never insult
3) if you don't know something for a fact, don't post it unless you absolve 7D of all responsibility ;) . Y'see, when one 7D member takes the "devil's advocate" position on an argument, the rest are supposed to support him/her if he/she can.

*I am not a number*

Ok, who is 7D? (sorry to dissappoint)...another long word beginning with D :D j/k

How can Dark Lords set those kind of limitations? Shouldn't we be free to express our dispensation of usual boundaries? Am I being warned off for a favoured evil-know-it-all-few, or ...hang on...

I question the first tenet: Despair.

Yes! It begins with the letter "D" but despair is subjective. Actually, I think it should be considered way down the line from delusion. Delusion one can live with, and quite happily! :)

decadence should be in there. desperation is also subjective.

damnable is worthy of inclusion
debauchery
deference
deflagrate (almost should be the first tenet)
deleterious
delinquent
deviant

There are so many good words that begin with D.
Hi Ysh.

Deviance should definitely not be overlooked.

We may need to redefine, either the number of doors, or the definitions, sometime soon, at least let us open up to discussion.

degradation
deception
decrepitude
defiance
dyssentry
decongestant

Hey, Ned. I am liking the letter D :D

by Ned Flanders
disembowel
disemploy
disease
discriminatory
discommode
disconsolate (possibly too subjective)
discombobulate
desecrate
desperado
dermatitis

welcome to the chamber. The chamber has only one door. An 'in' door. Once in, you'll be subjected to the worst the letter D has to offer with no way out.

Unless, of course, you Descry the exit.

I like this theory. Can't afford to get too subjective, though, we need to maintain a balance (discommode? :D )

Do not be discouraged or disabled by disenchantment!

Do not be easily dissed!

Distemper!

We've forgotten the best D word of all.

Dismember.

discommode - v.t. - to inconvenience

Nothing like "I'll use discommode over here and you use datcommode over there."

ROFLMAO! :D

*ahem* so dismembering is not necessarily related to discommoding then? though that would be utterly disconcerting!

Discretional
Diametric
Disorders

It is dire time I disappear, though I will check back with you deviants tomorrow! ;)

Not to mention disingenuously discontiguous, and demonstrably discombobulated. :)

Why is it that the only words I can come up with are:
defile
despoil
devour
desecrate

and especially:
deflower?

I must be demontrating my devotion to the Dark Flames :D :p
