Rangers/Assasins

Hey, just beat the game as a bulky, evil, sword swinging powerhouse and would now like to go the route as a good, quick, bow-wielding ranger/assassin. Can anyone give me tips on how to procede stat-wise? Does Physique impact bow damage at all? Is there any special armor and otherwise I should be on the lookout for?

thanks.

Archers

Speed is your friend, it'll let you draw the bow quicker. Physique might help with that as well but I'm not sure, Physique does not effect the damage done by the bow. Archery? does, (the middle skill in the yellow catagory).

Don't use a cross bow. The damage is more but they take to long reload.

Magic spells Multi-shot is nice. It fire multiple arrows but they dont always hit. Half my shots always seem to hit walls or trees or villagers (oops!).
I would wager to say that Force Push is an archers best friend. As the baddies get to close, POW you use Force Push to knock them all away. Which lets you shoot them some more. Slow Time might work out really well also. I haven't tried it but, Slow Time should slow down charging foes letting you pump more shots into them.

Thats my suggestions.

no,they don't have any special clothes like the assassin outfit. i wish they did
there are archer tatoos, i don't think they do anything special

if you see a guy in the distance, use the manaul target and aim for head

for one big enemy, keep a safe distance, and use summon creature
the creature will melee attack, while you get good shots off
or get the spell that allows you to appear on other side of enemy, this is good for shots in the back when the enemy is on you

i found that keeping a target locked and block/dodging help alot
lock on target move slightly to L or R while pulling back arrow
then you release and roll/block before enemy's ranged attack hits

you can pull your sword out when you're fully surrounded
i wouldn't think any less of you as an archer, but to keep yourself working the bow, keep a lesser damaging melee weapon like a pick axe or mace

i did the whole arena in bow, but i almost broke my left index finger targeting every enemy - i didn't realize how hard i was squeezing the trigger

this stuff isn't written in stone, but this is some of my technique
