ok, what is the minimum number of persuade skill points you need to get all the good choices in the game???

get more creds or upgrade hk...

funny robot or more credits?

robot or credits?

oy...

how many persuade points did you get? and was that enough for a good resolve on dantooine's feud quest?

now, i've noticed that force persuade works every time...love that power, and will give you good cash everytime...

help?

All the good choices? I think the toughest situation is the ghost in the tomb on the Academy's planet. (The one where everybody does the equivalent of donning a cape, wearing a stovepipe hat, and growing a handlebar moustache, while they cackle about being ooooh sooo very evil. ) I've acquired 9 Persuade points and not been able to save him from the self-inflicted fate of endless remorese he feels is his. Anybody been able to crack his shell? How many points?

Persuade skill

I did it a few times before, but I don't think I managed it in my last game. Don't remember how many points, though. And there was one time I tried to Force Persuade what's-her-name on Tatooine to give me the wraid skullplate to sell for her and she resisted; twice. Since I was being dark anyway, I threatened her for it and chased her off.

I think I had about 15-20 skill points in persuade, and managed to convince the old Sith ghost

bastila was a problem, though.

its a roll...if you have low skill, you have to get a good roll.

how to abuse force valor to get a better result:

simple. remember the 20 seconds is real time, so just press the a button to speed thru dialog until you get the option to try persuade.

i am currently going thru taris for the 9th time...(   ) with a measley 2 points granted by charisma of 14.

going on the theory that you don't really need it in taris, even if a couple of times i threatened the guy and got dark points. but so far all main path and optional quests went thru fine without needing more than 2 points...

i have 8 points in the bank...

ok, this is an evil idea...force valor, then level up screen...hmmm..i wonder if i could get the extra point of skill point with 14 intelligence.. need a intelligence implant...

way i figure, i need 15 or so to upgrade hk 37, which means me, a soldier counselor can keep 9 or so for persuade...only 15 since i have experimented successfully upgrading hk with force focus...

Wait, I thought Force Valor only upped your physical stats? Perhaps to avoid the very abuses you describe ;)

force valor does indeed increase only physical stats...

+5 attributes = +2 points more persuade, security, etc. :D :D :D

What you do, if you're a soldier (crappy skills per level), is you save all of your skills for when you become a guardian or consular, when persuade becomes a class skill. Then you can spend those points on persuade. Also, if you're going to settle on 10 intelligence, just leave it at 8. You can't go below 1 skill point per level, and you don't really need the skills that rely on intelligence, with T3-M4, Mission, and very early on, Carth. Besides, when you put those two extra points into strength, you can bash down doors that much faster.

When you level up the current intelligence modifier effects the amount of skill points you get. Increasing your intelligence with Master Valor results in increased intelligence modifiers.

it can also turn you temporarily into a level 6-12 jedi counselor..

+5 to wisdom gives you the same save penalty to will saves against enemies as a 6-12th level counselor...

of course a 12-20th level counselor, with +3 penalty to will saves with force valor casting offensive force powers is incredibly powerful...

but hey, that's what plague is for...it levels the playing field for guardians and sentinels... :D :D :D
