BG on DVD

Hello!
I am sick of my scratched old discs. I am soon getting a new comp, and with it a dvd drive. Does anyone know if BG is out on DVD. Maybe something like BG1 and tales of the sword coast on one and BG2 and ToB on one.
I found this

Perhaps someone here uses a DVD with BG on it.

the games+expansion pack packages come with the original number of disks (e.g. 4 for bg2) and the expansion disk.
i'm afraid there is no dvd, but tbh, you don't exactly need it, once you've installed bg2 (if you do a full install), you only need the expansion disk to play

I do remember a friend having a DVD with BG + Totsc on it. I'll ask him.

Yeah I know a full install and you dont need it but it just seems neat. And I need to get a new game as the old is unreadable anyway. I dont mind paying twice for such a great game either.

Well, there is a German DVD version of BG1+TotSC at amazon.de (
Link), but I have no idea if it is available in other languages as well...

You can play BG2 without the CD if you have (bought the game
and) a full install. Just download this:

AFAIK, warez are not tolerated on this forums, and even if it seems that it's for a legal purpose, cracks stey illegal. About the DVD version: my friend indeed has one, but it came with a Packard-Bell PC from 4 years ago, so I doubt you will find it somewhere. Bad luck

When you need something obscure - go to ebay. I just did a search for "baldurs gate dvd" on ebay and came up with a copy for $5.
Sometimes the obvious method is the best....

I'm pretty sure it's out there, tho i doubt you will find it at your local softwareseller. Just browse google

Scratched CDS
The BG2 engine also can't tell the difference between originals and copies... I copied my ToB after the install, and when it scratches, I toss it and burn another.
