Alley transition crash

Hello all.

I've got a bit of a problem. When exiting the Tennement to the Alley, it crashes. Bit of a game breaker right there. I seem to remember seeing something similar on the old IPLY boards but, well, they're gone.

I've got the 4CD version with the official patch and no fix packs installed. Never had this crash before so any help would be welcome.

Hmm, that was an easy fix. I cleared the cache and temp folders and there I am. Was scary for a bit though. Did an unistall/reinstall and the crash gave me an Assertion Failed error, line 1720 but the clearing worked so off I go to play.
