Helps resist magic spells. Charges can be build by a Chemistry user. So go the the learned schematic (the pull down menu) and the cemeistry button and the second button down on the pull down is the charge button. Enable it when your IN is high enough. Now go to the schematic page (press T) and click the chemistry tab on that page and click the arrow until you get to the charges page. If you have items needed for the charges click the upper of the two large buttons on the left side and your charges will be in inventory.

If you want to build a chapeau go to the electrical learning pull down and click on chapeau when your capable.

Does the helmet work with battery? I've noticed inventors have them for sale, i bought some to test but didn't notice any difference (tried wearing helmet with batteries in inventory and without - same statistics)

And if it only works with charges do you just have to have them in invntory or have to somehow charge the helmet up? :confused:

Ya, it doesnt work to hot. I dont no if its fixed in the later patches. Also, its pretty much a waste. Batteries go to quickly for an item that truly doesnt work well. But the hat is "suppose" to redirect arrows and bullets so they dont hit u...

I use the Chapeau purely for armour class reasons, it's a pretty good bonus and lightweight (if I remember correctly).

I have to agree with the charge eating though, it's crazy how fast it goes through them and I don't really notice the difference.
