Who would you take?
Just beat Irenicus and came to ToB. Cernd is lvl 14 and i only use him in greater werewolf form. Would sarevok be better to take, using the silver blade or equalizer. Don't have any great armour for Sarevok, but that i'll find. Rest of party is, korgan cf, keldorn ha, Iomen, Edwin, Priest of Talos FoA.

For the power gamer, there's simply no comparison: Sarevok is the answer. I also enjoy his exchanges with Jan. But if you want a greater strategic challenge in your party, take along Cernd. The first time I played I didn't like his stats, nor did I think much of a character who required time during battle to shift forms. But eventually I appreciated how his limitations might make the game more interesting.

Hmm.... I would choose Sarevok, simply because the story might be a bit more interesting with him. I've never tried it, since I've only completed ToB with a solo Undead Hunter (yeah that's right, go ahead and laugh) so I wouldn't know.
I've tried a shapeshifter in SoA, though, so I know how nice the greater werewolf form is, but for some reason Cernd sucks at it. Never got too far with the shapshifter... stupid mindflayers. Yes I know you should use that flying sword or whatever spell, but what do you do when your only mage is a bit disintegrated?

Ok, I dumped Cernd, as being only a filler upper after Minsc's untimely death in Trademeet.
Thanks for the help.

I'd say take sarvok and try him out for a bit in saradush. If you don't like him, take cernd. If you do, keep him. Just make sure you disband cernd in the pocket plane so he won't be gone for the rest of the game in case you want him back.

Sarevok, he litterally brings death to your enemies "DIE!!!", and makes the story more interesting.
But then again, despite always playing good alignment I am a fighter person and thus like him. I seem to recall that you can also turn him from evil.
Best wishes; Palle

Sarevok, not only for the power. He's part of the story.
Powerwise he's insane btw, especially if you specialize him in halberds ...

Thanks for all the replies.
I brought Sarevok, now he is using Staff of the Ram +6 and he is just turning my screen red.
