Why does this damned game crash SO MUCH ??????? I am so tired of playing it for 20 or 30 minutes and then you see it flicker and know that crash is imminent. I've learned to save the game every 2 or 3 minutes because of this, but it's ridiculous to have to keep loading the damned game! I have a 2.4 G CPU and 512 M of RAM ... a 64 Meg video card ... I should not be having these problems. Are there any patches that anyone is aware of to correct this?

Ah, CTD's, the scourge of Morrowind. To reduce them:

1) Update all your drivers (video, sound, etc.) - last update made a big difference for me

2) Defrag the hard drive regularly
