Yeah, highest difficulty is not HoF yet, even if it feels like that
![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/)
Believe me, that's a piece of cake comapred to HoF. What level are your characters?

Thanx
Sorry but I don't know anything about this Dalekeeper you're talking about. Is it a patch?

DK - it's a savegame / character editor. I think you can download it from
http://www.mud-master.com. Oh, it's Dale Keeper II that you're after. Just fire it up and amend your exp point to what ever level you want.

[QUOTE=Iliphar Nelnuve]so what you mean is that it's quite impossible to start a new game in HOF with level 1 characters? Then I should continue my game with my party until they reach a certain level (which one do you think?) and then export them to a new game in HOF?...
![Confused ](./images/smilies/)

Exactly!

.
...you definetly should finish the game in normal mode and then start a new HOF game with your old party !
...if you want some challenge early in the normal mode use the "Targos mod" on highest difficulty
- most goblins will be replaced by skeletons (regulars / archers / cleric)
- caballus will split himself in a carbon copy called sullabac
- and they have an additional escort of 4 higher boneguards and 6 zombie lords !!!
...so all battles in Targos will be much (!!!) harder even in normal mode

[QUOTE=Brynn]Please try to stick to the topic, thank you.[/QUOTE]
...don't know where I miss the topic ???
...that you shouldn't start HOF with a level 1 party ?!
AFAI understand some people are looking for a little challenge early in the game - and therefore the "Targos mod" is a much better approach then starting with HOF - where you didn't have a chance at all !!!
btw. the way you should be able to im- and export every PC from every existing game to any other new / existing game and/or mode...-...but starting HOF for some EXP is just rubbish !

I created the HOF thread to discuss HOF-related topics only, so that those who look for info on HOF would find it easily there. Therefore, I moved these posts here to discuss other mods and Dalekeeper here.
Please, go on.
Silver, no offense meant. I'm trying to keep order here

What is the Targos Mode? how do I activate it? are the magical items different than in the normal mode max. difficulty?

You can find many mods for IWD at
weidu.org.
The Undead Targos mod makes your first arrival a bit more difficult - you'll be attacked by undead instead of small goblins - a bit more challenging
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)
You can find that one at weidu, too.
I posted this in the Useful links, too.

the Targos mod increases the difficulty of the 1st and the 3rd map...
I posted the details earlier
you will get one new item: four arrows of "undead be gone" but you will definetly need them all in the final caballus battle...
...more or less the only chance for a level 2 or 3 party to defeat the for higher boneguards...
...even a normal skeleton archer is on highest difficulty a challenge for a level 1 party...
...cause they have a ~50% hit chance and hit for ~ 14+ HP damage !
...so it's not that easy to find enough EXP for levelling up - at least on highest difficulty

About Dalekeeper:
I see that I can edit my character's attributes - but how do I give items to her? I see what's in her inventory, but what if I'd like to add e.g. a quest item I lost?
Btw, this is scary. I can give as much ability and xp points as I want... There's no limit (yeah, lvl 255 is not a limit
![Stick Out Tongue :p](./images/smilies/)
)... What do you think about it?

Well you should see bar with some of these..
Level.. feats.. skills.. there is on right corner arrow.. and by clicking it you can see new parts of that program...
When you are in item menu.. double click some item slot and then there should list of items.. well i am sure you will be able to continue by yourself now..

So I doudble click an item slot, and all of the availablel items appear? Does it mean that I can choose the same item twice?
Posted: Mon Oct 25, 2004 6:49 am
by Wrath-Of-Egg
yes... but if you want two same items then you should choose diffrent item slot.. and you can also set what type of items you want in ''FILTER LIST''..
There you can choose that do you want to see only swords.. or perhaps something more too.. i would recomend using this thing when you add items to your party..

I think I'll use it in emergency only (like loosing quest items) - equipping my party with whatever I want is... well, not the straight way of acquiring things, to say the least
![Stick Out Tongue :p](./images/smilies/)
But it's really useful when missing important items. Easier to replace them with Dk then replay a whole area again! A pity it doesn't edit NWN characters, too

NWN might have own keeper..
Becuse all these games have some editor called X Keeper..
BG1 has GATEKEEPER...
IWD1 has DALEKEEPER...
IWD2 has DALEKEEPER 2..
And list continues..
