Urgent Help!!!!!

My quests don't get registered in the quests log book, so I'm stuck!!! I've installed the newest official patch available, but it didn't work. What should I do? I've read through all the 30 pages of the forum, and everyone who has had the same problem as me hasn't got an answer for this problem.

What I could find.
This thread on the Atari forums seems to have a clue, altough maybe not the answer. One of the Co8 members mentions that having an NPC in the lead position causes problems with quests registering. Still, seeing as you have been experienced with the game, I'm almost convinced that this may not be the problem. Is it?
Unfortunately, no other replies to such problems seem to have come about.

Thanks a lot for your help. Even though I've been playing the game for quite a while, I never noticed that it was everythime I put an NPC in the lead that the problem happened. Now I'm finally playing the game. Thanks a lot again.
