When I have exit the temple of the Balck Raven I found that five or six Iron golems are guarding the tomb of Black Raven himself. And now the question is how may I get rid of them so I can get the treasure??? In my party I have 2 mages ( 10th level both ),1 paladin( 11th level), 1 ranger(11th level ), 1 thief( 12th level), 1 cleric of Selun(11th level) . Most of them are pritty good in close combat and two of them are *proffesionals* archers. Need an advise
Thankfull for the awnser.

You need +3 weapons and the only magic that seems to affect them is electricity: if you don't have the weapons just skip the fight for the moment, if you have suitable weapons summon a lot of friends (undead are good) and hit them from afar with missile and lightining spells and eventually if you have a good tank help the summons melee (have your priest memorize healing circle and heal to keep the fighters healthy).

Well.. that treasure is almost pointless.. and realy hard to find any use for it.. but XP from Golems is nice.. but little bit too hard.. So come back in HoF and kill them with KEG SPLITTER OF SHAERGARNE..
But if you must do it now and you dont have any +3 weapons.. then continue playing.. when you get to drow camp head south from there and you will see some traders there but bevare.. they will get easily angry.. and then attack you..

The HOF version slays constructs, such as Golems.

What about the Club of Disruption?

I got the treasure by first dealing with the Duerger Dwarves that block the exit and then took the treasure and ran. Might not be the bravest way of doing things, but it will get you the equipment.

That could work.

Then Flaming Mace of Disruption should work too...

I don't think disruption weapons will do anything to Golems aas they aren't Outsiders or Undead. My advice for trying to kill these things is to keep them in place with pets like undead and try and hammer them with enchanted missile weapons. In melee combat they will chew you up and spit you out.
Spells that maight be helpful include: Melfs Minute Meteors (creates +5 thrown weapons that do bludgeon and fire damage. The fire will do nothing but the bludgeon damage might still get through), Ball Lightning and perhaps Phantom Blade. The Phantom Blade is +3 and I think it bypasses armour like Moonblade, Flameblade etc. I've never actually tried it though. Buffing Spells like Recitation and Emotion: Hope are also a good idea as they increase your missile damage. Haste is another must of course. You should be able to get +3 missile weapons by this stage of the game I think.
The Golems can really dish it out, but can't actually take that much damage, about 100 HP I think.

Or use my favourite trick: make them attack one of your party members and cast Otiluke's Resilient Sphere on him

This way they cannot harm him, and meanwhile you can do what Heidrek suggested above.

.
btw. there are only four golems !
...but this is a really hard fight ! ...at least if you don't use cheesy tactics like ORS !
...they are immune to nearly everything (but haven't tried elctricity or cold against them)
...but chromatic orb, web, fire, acid, piercing & slashing damage doesn't work against them...
...disruption doesn't work either - I used it but I've never seen one making a save against !
what really stupid is - is that damned poison-gas what could instant kill you if you have bad luck !
best way to beat them are summons and a sorc with blink, stoneskin & MI where they hopefully lock on !
...if not let a locked on party member run around cause fighting all four at once is really hard !
with haste, recitation, stoneskin & faerie fire (btw. what a great spell - works against really everything !) let your best fighters with bludgeoning weapons take out one after each other !

Electricity works well against those golems.

nice to know - but my sorc chose fireball & haste 1st and my wizard didn't have one memorized...
...as already asked in another thread - anybody knows how much EXP. they have gained from these golems ?

I think they're worth around 5000XP from memory. These guys are really tough.
