I know where the Chrysamere is->...The Chrysamere is located just outside of Sadrith Mora, take the mages guild teleport route to Wolverine hall, exit and go down the spiral stairs once, go through the imperial chapel untill outside, hop over the wall across water onto the next island, not moving in any other direction go straight forward and you'll see a cave entrance it's in that cave.

when you're outside of the imperial cult there's only one island you go onto after you jump over the wall which is on the left (if you haven't figured that out already) the cave name i have no idea, in the mission you always get told something like the person has creatures protecting the doorway..i usually find a mud crab whi tries to attack me, there's also march merrow in the waters if i reember correctly.

I believe the name of the cave is Abanabi. It can be quite tricky to find. In two separate games I found it by accident, and the time I looked for that cave I could not actually locate it.
From what I remember though it is very close to Wolverine Hall, and it is much easier to spot if you can levitate, which gives you a bird's eye view.

I found the cave pretty easily, but after searching through it as thoroughly as I could, I couldn't find the sword.

Spoiler:
I only saw 5 creatures in the cave--two human sorcerors, a golden saint, and two atronaches. In the bottom room, there was a big pool with a guy at the bottom with a fishing pole. There were 3 main areas within the cave.

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

when you enter the cave, you need to keep to the left side of the cave, there's a passage way which usually has a Scamp and a Antronach in, go through that and into an area with water at the bottom, there should be some sort of spiral way down to a small living area, the person summons a creature and usually drains your strength, or casts burden. She has the sword and she does use it against you.

I found that sneaking while using my bow was an effective way to deal with her :p

Ahh, I finally found it, thanks! I've concluded I like Hopesfire better for the following reasons:

1. Hopesfire does almost as high maximum damage, and it is only 1H--leaving the other hand free for a shield.

2. Hopesfire has SIGNIFICANTLY higher minimum damage, which means you're doing much more damage over time.

3. Hopesfire was a lot harder to get :P

Where is Hopesfire? Haven't heard of that.. Is it better than Trueflame? That's what I use.

If you're busy doing the Tribunal quests, which you probably are considered you have Trueflame, you'll find it soon enough.

I beat tribunal main quest a long time ago and didn't bother too much with the side quests, I wasn't a big fan of the layout.. Maybe I got it and just didn't like it.. Or is that the two-hander that the Royal guards use? I like the scimitars that Her Hands use too..

Jopperm, if you haven't got a comment comparing the two weapons, please don't spam the forums. And if you've got a new question about something, post it in another thread. Thanks. ;)
What is Chrysamere? Ive never come across this weapon, can someone tell me how to get it?
There are a few directions given in this thread itself ;) And if you need further help in locating the sword, just type Chrysamere into the search function. You could also check some of the resources in the sticky called "Yellowpages" at the top of the Morrowind forum's main page.
