questions for xbox live

FREE BEER! , now that i have ur attention...questions for xbox live
can u just use a cable to connect your xbox to a router or do u have to buy a xbox live starter kit, and if u have to, how much does it cost?(plaese state currency)

You don't need to buy the xbox live starter kit, but you will need to get either a 2-month trial subscription or a 12-month subscription (included in the starter kit). In addition to the 12-month subscription, the starter kit contains a headset and an xbox live game, either Crimson Skies or Mechassault. I believe the starter kit goes for about 99$ Canadian, so about 60$ US. Also, the 2-month trial subscription is free with the purchase of some xbox live games.
So you will need an ethernet connection and some type of xbox live subscription

will need time to get enough money for the starter kit though....
and i already have the 2-month subscription thing from halo 2

Halo 2 comes with a free trial subscription?? Hmm I might have to pick that game up sooner than I had planned... thank you for that!
