Troubles with Glitch?

I am having troubles with the one part where I am suppose to speak with Dev/Null in New York to gain a new 'quest'. I have tried to speak with him several times after I have done everything else that I should have and it doesn't seem to work. It almost seems like a glitch around him because each character keeps on getting caught around him and nothing seems to be able to trigger a conversation with him despite the fact that it has the 'speak with' symbol when you put the cursor over him.
Could someone help me please?

Well, here's one i've never heard of before.
I assume you already met Samuel and he told you about a hacker named Dev Null, right ? So now you're standing in his room, and it's impossible to trigger a conversation ?
If it's a bug, it sure is a complete new one to me. If i were you, i'd go back to the last savegame, which can't be far off, since you just arrived in New York, and try the whole thing again.
Or.... simply head down into the sewers, complete the mission, and see what happens.

I started from the last time I saved before using the consule which wasn't too far off and I redid everything to Dev/Null's apartment and it didn't seem to work anyways. So I am going to have to try and do the 'quest' without speaking to him - I am not sure how to do that though...

I found out how to get into the sewers without Dev/Null - but now I realize I am offically screwed because I need something from DEv/Null in order to do the quest.

In the final chapter of the sewers, there's a device on the wall, with which you can contact Dev Null, see what happens when you get there.

That worked out great. Thank you Legend - I have completed the game with a bit of cheating and much dying on my part at the very end. It seems that speaking with Dev/Null directly is impossible with my game - it seems to be horribly glitched and I am not sure why but at least I know how to get around it.
Anyways - hoping to get Bloodlines soon. I have always enjoyed VtM, playing table top at the Hobby Shark is a little boring but you can always find me at an active online game.

Bloodlines is great, you won't regret buying it.
Don't be a stranger now.
