Paintings at Gallery Noir

I'm trying to slash the paintings as Jeanette asked me, but when I hit them, I just get hurt and the paintings aren't scratched at all. I guess there is something I must do before, but I can't figure what. Any idea?

You need to get and equip a knife. There might be one in the room but i'm not sure.

Yeah, I already had a knife but it seems you have to slash them in a specific order. I think it has something to do with the chronological order of the paintings : Caine slays Abel first, then he meets Lilith and etc. At least it worked.

yeah, first he slays Abel then God disses him, then meets and spurns Lilith

Hi! I made that quest yesterday. the order is important. First, you must cut the left one, then the right one opposite, then the right one near the main entrance, and finally the left one in the corner.
I hope it was clear.

Almost as clear as : First slash the one where Kain slays abel. Then slash the one where Kain is banished. Then slash the one where he meets Lillith and finally the one where he scourns Lillith.
Then get ready to fight.
