I'm kinda a total newby to this and I don't get much of the game yet. Like how to identify!? I don't know if I already can do it, I'm in Beggar's Nest now. Constantly on the loading screen it says: If you want to have an Item identified, it'll cost 100 GP. But WHERE?!?! I already have a gigantic staff, a magic wand and 7 gloves who aren't identified!! Then, when I level up, I do the Lore skill and still nothing!!

When in a shop, just examine the unidentified item, and there will be options to or identify. At least as far as i remeber, don't play nwn anymore

There are also poitions that can help you identify (Lore potions) as well as the identify spell for spellcasters.

All items have a Lore rating, which is the level of Lore they require to be automatically IDed when you examine them. I tend to find that a Lore of around 12-15 IDs pretty much everything (with the occasional high powered item being a problem).
If you have any spare skill points, dump a couple in Lore. Drink a potion of Int or Lore and you should be able to ID most of the items.
Cheers,

I think the highest lore required to ID an item is 36.
Keep in mind that drinking multiple potions of lore won't stack.

Thnx! I already have a ring that increases my Lure with 6 and when I turned into rogue instead of a fighter, I got 9 points, so I got the Lore spell 8 points.
