Hi all,

Just wanted to guage opinions on what the best Bard spells are by level for a SOLO Bard/Fighter character. The worst thing about the bard is the limited spell selection, most of the gane I'll only have access to a max of 4 different spells at levels 1-4 so I'm going to have to choose them carefully. Here are my current picks in order of preference, I'd be interested in your feedback and opinions:

Level 1:
1. Chromatic Orb
2. Sleep
3. Identify
4. Not sure. Cure Light Wounds? Grease? Colour Spray? Charm Person?

Level2:
1. Mirror Image
2. Dire Charm
3. Blur
4. Eagles Splendor

Level 3:
1. Blink
2. Haste
3. Emotion: Fear
4. Emotion: Hope

Level 4:
1. Improved Invis.
2. Dominate Person
3. Cure Critical Wounds
4. Dismissal

I guess there are the Minor Mirror Image and Charm spells, too, at 1st lvl.

I don't know their lvls exactly, but I'm sure my bard has Dispel Magic and Luck, too. Oh, and Bull's Strength! I found the latter and Mirror Image the most useful of all. Haste and Improved Invisibility will come in handy, too!

for level one spell... pick grease..

I have always like Grease, but I can get a wand to do that. Is Minor Mirorr Image any good? 1 extra image doesn't sound so great.

Perhaps Charm Person. Could be handy being able to Charm most of the enemies with either Charm Person or Dire Charm. I'm thinking of Horror at level 2. I need some crowd control!
