Seriously...

I just wnated to know if anyone seriously uses the more 'exotic' weaponry in the game?
Seriously, does anyone really use halbreds, wakizashis, ninja-tos (my monk used one but that's just because I wanted to see the 'monk specialty weapon'), bastard swords or daggers? I mean, sure I always built the Wave and I always kept Dragon's Breath around or the Stilleto of the Demarchess but I never used them or even gave anyone a proficiency in these weapons (unless I was going for scimitar in the case of the ninja-to/wakizashi).

To put it this way, weapon selection usually varies with classes. So,a Paladin that already has 2 points in 2H Sword & 2H Weapon Style is likely going for the Halebards.Thief characters often use daggers, especially the throwing ones as they have better damage,i.e. Firetooth's damage range is 2D4.

It's a shame that they didn't give you an insentive to use daggers etc. Maybe assasins could have only been able to backstab with daggers but got a big bonus or something. Hopefully in ToB there will be some badass daggers that make them worthwhile.

Yeah thats a point maybe you should be able to backstab and get a bonus because you can conceal a dagger more easily than a sword. Also I know you can backstab only with blades but does anyone think people should be allowed to carry clubs and make knockout blows? It's just an idea.

Or maybe backstab with anything! You could calmly walk past security, over to the king, then all of a sudden: WHERE DID THAT HALBERD COME FROM!

In the 3rd edition DnD rules there is a sap(blackjack) which does subdual damage. Subdual damage does not hurt you and you have an amount equal to your hp but when you run out of HP you are knocked unconscious.

My Ranger uses halberds (going to give him The Wave when i get it). Minsc is gonna duel-wield Crom Faeyr and Flail of Ages, too
. Basically, everyone in my party will have no less that a +4 weapons, I'll post it up when I get to my final save.

Well White Rabbit, I believe the topic originally posted was asking if anyone uses the more "exotic" type of weapons, halberds were mentioned... So, I just thought I'd share what weapons I usually use. Is this making sense yet?

I would like to take this moment to point out that anybody with the nick "HungLong", is obviously trying to cover up his own feeling of inadequacy. An old adage serves me well: "he who brags the most, gets the least".
Now please refrain from your pointless lies and insults.
