And who says that mummy close to Wolf won't start moving and make something cool happen :D ? I need a sequel sooo bad, by the way, what do you think a possible sequel will be like? What will happen? Split all over your ideas fans, god bless Troika

I would indeed like to see an expansion pack at least. Just finished the game, and just figured out that this is actually lies up there with planescape, fallout and bg2 as one of the best CRPGS ever released. I can say no more, because words cannot describe every detail of my love for this game. (well it could, but then I would have to write a very long reply :p ).

However, there were some loose threads in the game, never being answered, like in mid game when you get approached by this woman, who says she's going to find out what happened to me, or something like that, never saw her again. Also, you met many very well made and memorable, which sadly only made a brief appearance. Mentioning Jeanette, which I really would like to see more (no not because of her mini-mini skirt and that thight top ;) ) because she was really something unique, very fleshed out and exelent voiceacting (cudos to whomever did her), she was not like the average NPC you usually meet. And secondly Gary! I can't believe that he didn't play a larger role, I must say, to this date I have just met a few NPCs that are as memorable as Gary. The location of which you first meet him, perfect, the classical music in the background, perfect, the voice acting, beyond perfect, his dialoges, can not be described. At the moment I came to him, I was just totally lost in immersion, and was mesmerized every single time I heard his voice (loved the phone call). He reminded me alot of Hannibal lecter from the silence of the lambs, and also, somewhat of Morte from Planescape, don't know why though.

Also, who is that mysterious character making an appearance at the very last second of the game, saying (freely after memory):
Remember, where ever we go, it is the blood of Caine which makes our path.
Farewell, vampire.

Really had me puzzled, but none the less, a very good endline!

Well, so far, I rest my case and see what happens.
But I sincerely hope that Activision knows what's good for them (or else, I'll come and drink their blood dry).

i finished the game disappointed, to say the least, as a Tremere.
i won't tell nothing about it and that's probably because there wasn't anything there.

maybe I should try to fix the humanity points to get a better endline.

I think I can shed some light on that character, Gauda. In accordance with the new posting rules, though, I will post the following in black print so as not to spoil anything for those who do not wish to be spoiled. Highlight to read, if you would like.

Gauda, there has been some talk on this board in other threads of this mysterious character. As you may recall, his appearance in the end sequence was not his first appearance in the game. He was also the taxi driver that Jack sends you to meet after Lacroix calls a blood hunt on you. Apparently this character is supposed to be Caine. Lame, yes, I know, but others have put forth solid information to support this theory and by all indications the programmers intended this character to be Caine.

Check out the folder where you installed Bloodlines. Do a little exploring into the sub-folders, specifically ...\Vampire\sound\character\dlg\main characters folder and you will find one called "Caine." Open it up and listen to some of the mp3s. They're the dialogue for the mysterious taxi driver.

So lame... But that's just my opinion.

- i too would enjoy an expansion pack .. addon .. another sequel to this game Vampire

- i think i would like more clan based story lines that are totally different from each other .. perhaps even a start where your character has no idea what clan he she belongs and that is their intial quest .. or begin as a ghoul and your character must progress from there ..

- in the original Vampire : Maquerade you had Christof the Holy Crusader .. where every action of his vampire life would clash with his human memory and understanding .. yet the main theme of love drove him to do what he did as a vampire .. and in the midst of this was the fear of Gehena and every clan/sect battling for power .. i mention this because it seems so complex a story compared to Bloodlines ..

- anywayz .. can only hope for a sequel/expansion

Spoiler!

I rather think that it was cool that the taxi driver likely was Caine, he's the last person you would expect being the eldest Vampire of them all, but now it all somehow makes sense.

- i agree with you Guada in that Caine being the mysterious cab driver made sense .. in the game here and there you hear mention of vampires seeing Caine (i think Jack mentions it) .. myth or reality you dont know .. but because of that mention i thought it only natural that the writers would squeeze a character in who would be Caine ..

- as far as Caine being the cab driver .. he is the first vampire .. more powerful than any others .. he needs no realm to prove that, being a lowly cab driver that seems to come out for those special drives .. he is the last person who can direct your characters path

- i think what question i would need answering is .. who is Jack ? how does he know Caine ? was it Jack under Caines guidance that manipulated the Anarach victory (from the certain end game choices) ? in the cab, the driver mentions that if the Anarchs are victorious, the city will be in chaos .. is that what Caine wants ?

It's possible that Jack is an antideluvian. But that is just wild guesses from my side.

Jack is not an Antideluvian. If he was, he would be the Brujah Antideluvian. and second someone in the game said he used to be a pirate. The REAL stories of pirates are said to have existed somewhere between 13-1600's. and if im correct, Caine got cursed by GOD for killing his brother Abel way before Jesus was ever heard of. and i think Jesus was born somewhere around 350-500 BC. So i dont think Jack is an Antideluvian.

It's possible that it's just a story he concocted to build himself a life among the modern Kindred.

Oh yea, BC means "Before Christ", so the generally accepted date of his birth is 0AD or Anno Domini (roughly translated as "In the year of our Lord.")
Oh yea, BC means "Before Christ", so the generally accepted date of his birth is 0AD or Anno Domini (roughly translated as "In the year of our Lord.")
The standard these days is BCE for "before Christian Era," which neatly sidesteps the question Jews, Muslims and believers (or non-believers) in other faiths ask, "Why does this guy's birth matter?" People can dispute the importance of Jesus' birth, but no one disputes the widespread impact of Christianity, for better or worse.

Caine got cursed by GOD for killing his brother Abel way before Jesus was ever heard of. and i think Jesus was born somewhere around 350-500 BC. So i dont think Jack is an Antideluvian.

Jesus' birth has been tentatively placed within a decade or so of 70 BCE, and his death at around 35 BCE. Of course, there were other gods, sons and daughters of gods and goddesses, and prophets appearing within a 200 year frame or so--it was a very warlike period, generating many spiritual saviors of various persuasions--and Jesus didn't stand out at the time. This is getting off subject, but I just wanted to correct a fact or two. ;) If you want to actually get into any serious discussion, the place to go is our SYM (Speak Your Mind) forum, where we also spam a great deal. :D

Hey
Just my 2 pence worth,
Jack is Smilin' Jack an Autarkis*(thou is more Anarchthan anything)of some reknown He was a pirate Sired some time in the 1600's and has caused trouble for the Cammies ever since ( having a helluva lot of fun in the process).

*an Autarkis is part of no sect

If you want to know more about Smiling Jack, try googlin´ "brujah genealogy," you´ll find him there.
Since I´m sort of fan of WW vampires, here is a little history lesson: Anarch free state is gone, when anarchs and camarilla fought for control, KueiJin moved in and seized control quickly. So now, asian "vampires" control California.
There´s a lot of stories around it, if you want to listen just say so

Smiling Jack is just a 10th generation Brujah, about 400 years old. In the World of Darkness universe (at least the way it used to be...) an antediluvian is not some guy you could mistake for a bum; if you happen to see or be near one you would probably go insane or die for different reasons pertaining to each antediluvian. If the Brujah antediluvian awakes, most likely vampires in the vicinity would just fly into a prolonged frenzy for example and mortals would be rioting all over the place.

Well, I'd like to see another game similar in flavor based on the V:TR rules but from what I gather, there looks to be a WoD MMOG in the works instead.
