New mod: Moonshadow Temple

I was very impressed by this mod, which is essentially 6 very large, spacious manors in a new city with unique architecture. There's only one shop: the furniture emporium, with a lot of beautiful, retextured items. You could also add the two or three other furniture and plant shops, or just use this one: the stuff in it is wonderful. The cost of everything is rather high, but it's not as though you don't have a fair amount of drakes to spend, is it? And you can buy a ring that brings you back to the city at will.
This is a link to the download.
Here you can view some screens. And finally,
this is a link to a forum thread at Gamers Roam (an excellent site for downloads, by the way) where you can discuss Moonshadow Temple. Of course, you can also discuss it, here. And I'll see if the mod designer will show up to answer questions.
But check it out. It's not a huge mod that will consume your computer's resources endlessly, the town is breathtaking, the houses and furniture are great.

Wow!!!
This is just gorgeous! Out of curiosity, where on the island is the town located?

I didn't check. I take it you didn't, either.
Next time I play, I'll have to find out. Fortunately, you can catch the boat at Ebonheart, and then once you've purchased the ring, you never need to worry about the travel hassle, again.
Though I have quite a few rings. I'm looking forward to another mod being worked on: one that supports containers in your inventory.

lol! I just downloaded and installed it. It is just south of Ebonheart. Really beautiful work! I'm not sure if I'll move into any of the manors (I'm quite attached to my Pelagiad Archmage Tower), but it will be a lot of fun to place furniture into at least one of them. I'm not sure which it will be though, most seem a bit bigger than my preference.
It is too bad the mod's creator has not yet placed any NPCs into the cities, walking around in it feels a little like wandering through Myst/Riven.

That's the one thing I noticed, too. Especially since I'm running Morrowind Comes Alive, which places a host of NPCs of all sorts of professions in the cities, at shrines, etc. MT is a place that cries out for the presence of people. But this was the part that interested the modder who did it, and they frankly did a beautiful job.

Yes, this is some of the most amazing modding work I have seen!
I also really enjoy the furniture moving
It is most fun when you are picking up a cabinet and you are asked a couple of times if it *really* is empty, nice touch, since it would be just like me to forget I had stuffed it full of items.
The way you can angle and place furniture is really well done as well, it evokes "Book Rotate" on steroids

There are a few other good furniture shop mods you might consider trying as well, since they add great variety to the mix. Look
here: all the shops on Andoreth's page are worth downloading, especially Real Furniture, Dongle's Delights, Potted Plants 2.0 and AH- Planter Add-On. (This last lets you plant seeds, as I recall, which germinate and grow within a month. Another very good one is Dave's Furniture Mod, which you can find
here. I use 'em all. Most allow you to move items around thanks to a ring.
But the best I've seen yet is in MT. It's all original stuff, beautifully done. Did you notice that you can actually change the color of the floor tiling?

I will definitely check those other furniture mods out, especially the potted plants, which Gravis Manor (the one I have decided to decorate) could really use.
Indeed, I did notice that. In the large upper section of the manor I replaced part of the carpet with the #1 floor tiles. I then bought some wallscreens and positioned them on the tile/carpet border. In this way, I was able to section off a space for a study, while using the other half for a sleeping area. This and the furniture buying/placing has kept me happily entertained for the past few hours. I actually remarked to my partner that he should play the game and specifically install this mod because he has a fetish for periodically rearranging our furniture. Oddly enough, he was not amused.
He retaliated by calling me "Martha Stewart."
lol! I can't decide if I feel as though I've regressed back to "playing house," or if I've entered a sort of virtual home improvement magazine!

Wow, looks great. At least on the screenshots. I haven't downloaded it yet and I probably won't because I'm not into furniture and stuff, but the architecture looks awesome!

ARCHITECTURE?
Well... There is lot effort in this pluging.. But then.. Architecture is quite nice but textures just wont fit.. ashgray textures and plants found on ashland area.. then i might realy use this pluging.. Yes i know it could simple to just change few things to make this pluging fit to my taste.. but i am already quite happy with my Bal Isra.

I had that problem too, a long time ago. I made a rather simple solution: I opened all the mods in the CS and combined the scripts in one, and put that "master teleport script" on a ring I frequently use (Moon-and-Star). Now that one ring can transport me to +- 10 strongholds

ARCHITECTURE?
[/QUOTE]
Well, yes.
The structural elements of design: the broad promenades, the colorful, leafy plants on the sides, the well-laid out streets, the attractive, easy to navigate interiors (admittedly, they lack high ceilings, but hardly anyone seems to use those in Morrowind), the way large, central elements are always viewed first at a distance, for aesthetic value: these are things discussed in various ways in Lewis Mumford's The City in History, and Xavier Hernandez' innovative pair of books showing the general elements of city design in a pair of "fictional" capitols from Northern and Southern Europe over the centuries.
On a purely aesthetic level, as someone remarked in another forum, this is what the Shrine of Azura should have looked like. Every element contributes to a certain effect.

@Fable, or anyone else who has been exploring this mod. Have you found anything weird has happened?
Last night it was working perfectly, but I noticed some odd things this morning. The tile/carpet changing is not working properly. Either nothing happens when I click, another area in the house ends up with a slightly different floor, or the area I actually clicked on turns the desired colour/tile pattern about 20 minutes after clicking...
(note: yes, I did remember to equip the furniture ring
)
I also had something else odd occur. I laid down one of the smaller rugs, and when I tried to adjust it, instead of the normal options I had a message pop up asking me if I wanted to buy it, as happened in the shop.
Hmm... plus I can't seem to hang wall tapestries...

DW, you might have left your furniture ring on when exiting the game. Try uneqipping and then re-equipping it, though you may need to move out of the cell, attempt this, then move back in. See if that works.

Cheers! That seems to have done the trick
Hmm... now that the place is furnished the way I want, I'm trying to decide how much I'll use it..

LOL! That's always the way it is, isn't it? Now, if the town had more shops, that would be an option. I think Shannon is hoping some people will use the town as the basis for some quests, now that she's released it. I hope she's right, too.

Hey eveyone. It's shannon, the creator of this mod. I just stopped by to say thanks for trying my mod, I hope you enjoy it. I'm glad to hear that bug Dragon Wench encountered has a simple solution. Theres two different versions of each carpet tile. (a named one, and an UN-named one)Taking on/off the ring causes one type of tile be deleted and instantly replaced with the other version. I'm not suprised that sometimes it gets confused. (hell, I was suprised it worked to begin with!) My suggestion would be to only wear the ring when you are decorating, and take it off before you leave a house. And never save the game with the ring equipped.
