Crystals... permanent?

Post by thetux »

I'm new to the game. I was wondering : once you fuse crystals with lightsabers, is it permanent or can you switch them at will? If it's permanent, should I save my lightsaber slots for later? Thanks.

You can easily pop out any upgrades you make. Just click on the crystal to remove, or switch it with another one.

It certainly would suck, having to find a new lightsaber every time you wanted to upgrade, not to mention wasting the crystals on the previous ones.
Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.

They aren't permanent, but you're going to pick up quite a few sabers and crystals along the way. Considering the scarcity of Workbenches outside the Hawk, it's often a good idea to create multiple sabers with different crystal combinations and switch between them as needed. For example, the Jenraux-Damind combo gives +3 to hit and +2 damage as well as +5 blaster bolt deflection for taking on large numbers of blaster-wielding opponents. The Firkrann-Luxum gives +4 to hit and +3-18 vs Droid opponents.

You get the idea...
