Lost Hard Drive Space

I have recently upgraded and am having a problem getting my 160GB SATA to read the full +/- 160Gigabytes.
My current setup is a 2600+ on a MSI K7N2 Delta 2 motherboard for AMD, 1GB of DDR 400 and a Geforce FX5600.
I have installed the SATA and only get 127GB available to me. This is a problem seeing as there is a LAN coming up and there are leech servers.
I know that my system is not the best, but I live in South Africa and only have a part time job during the weekend and holidays and I have bought this all without much help.
My computer is also restarting in the middle of games for some unknown reason. I don't know if it was a bad Windows installation or whether there is a problem with my hardware.
I would be grateful for any and all assistance.
Thanks
Antharias

Antarias, have you checked out your motherboard and processor temperature? the computer may be rebooting after exausting its capability and heatening up - in this case you need a new fan (as I needed and installed)
About the harddisk, however, I cant help you with any hints...

Many hard drives now built for PC's state that you need to update Windows XP with Service Pack 2 in order to get the full size of the hard drive available to you. Could be your problem.

I sorted out the restarting problem, however, I cant remember how.Soz.
I just had a bad installation with windows, re-installed and got an extra 25 gigs of space.
I had never seen such a large installation of windows in all my life, and I have formatted a lot of times and re-installed a lot of times as well.
