Hello, I have just decided to make my first warrior in BG2. I would like to know if there are any exceptional combination of weapons types, so I may alot my proficiency slots accordingly, thank you.

AXES RULE!!!
with the axe u'll find in the golem room at nalia's keep and the one that returns to u when u throw it u'll be kicking butt!!!

I only ever play with worriors, I know, I know Booriiinng but through many hours of hard work (And the fact you get to put a blade in someone and see em' explode) there is a true feelin' of, God that was cool!!!,
Any how I would firstly go for axes
1) You can throw em'...now need for Bows!
2) Goin' at it with Frost reaver(Golem room) and fire stone (Forget where I got it) Is the best way to take out trolls!
3) put a star or two in flails, how can you not want flail of ages.....
4) Azure edge can kill vamps and other undead nasties in a single hit!

So my friend go the axe for sure (there are also some good long swords through the game aswell), Hope I helped!

The best long sword in the game is at the end, it's awesome (won't spoil it for you)! AnywayYou could use Two-handed swords (Paladins can find a really good one somewhere in the game). Personally, I like the selection of Spears and Halberds the game offers. it's usually the 'bigger' weapons that are in the +4 and +5 range. so I'd pick one of those...

oops, I forgot to mention that you should put a proficiency in a ranged weapon, too (to balance out your warrior).

by the way i heard there are gona be 2 new flail heads for the flail of ages

I went with celestial fury / Flail of Ages that worked pretty well. Then I decided I wanted to remake my beserker so I went with crom fayer/celestial fury. That works better but you dont get crom fayer til fairly late in the game. Which sucks but its so powerful its ok =).

my combo up until the very end of the game was Crom Faeyr and Daystar (blackrazor replaces daystar well i mean why not)

my first run throught was with a berserker who was grand master in long swords and 3*'s in dual wield... it seems that long swords are meant for you pc cuz no one else comes with proficanies in them.... i remcommend you give him the swords since there are alot of good ones and one great for killing the undead and one for dragons and one so good i won't ruin it for you like the guy above said... use long swords and you won't go wrong!!!!!!!!!
