Hey every1 ive checked all the forums for a thread on this and i haven’t found one yet. so here is my problem my mission is to get the sarcophagus from the Giovanni mansion. i get down to the bottom to find 2 guys named claw brother and blade brother. i have to fight them and when i kill them it does a load screen. by the time it’s done loading the game crashes it goes to windows and i get a msg saying "Engine Error" "Maria_followers can not be in squads. This functionality not implemented" now before u all say its my ram or my drivers and what not it's not because the game was running fine and then all of a sudden at this part of the game it crashes. if anyone can help me on this problem id really appreciate it thanks for reading my problem and posting solutions if you did.

If your RAM isn't sufficient, you may be able to load the game, but it will run out of memory doing subsequent loading operations. Behavior of the program could become erratic. So how much memory have you got?

One thought: try moving your saved game directory elsewhere, then uninstall, and reinstall. Move you saved game directory back.

i have 1 gb of ram so it doesn't take long to load but ill try the moving save game file and uninstalling it then reinstalling it ill let you know if it works. thanks

i've the same problem, sometimes while loading the game crashes. I've 1gb ram too... i can't understand why, i found the crash log, 99% of ram used... now i'm blocked, waiting for a patch. Now i try to reinstall the game.

I had the same problem while playing Vampire: Redemption

When Vampire: Redemption came out, I had the same problem. It would ALWAYS quit on me as soon as I finished killing Ahzra in the Silver Mines near Prague. At the time my computer was top of the line and I eventually got so fed up with it that I just sold the game without ever finishing it. I was looking forward to buying this new game, but it looks like Troika still has faulty coding.

I'm getting the same problem, I've taken to saving after every quest update as the Random Crash to Desktop it Pissing me off - I love the game too much to stop playing though

I've patched up to the official 1.2 - should I patch with the unofficial 1.9 or just wait it out?

I would personally wait on the v1.9 patch. I have patched up to v1.8 and I don't have any issues. I had numerous ones with the v1.9 patch ([url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69273"]see previous thread[/url]), so I downgraded.

But even if you just stick with the official v1.2, the game is still enjoyable as hell, and should be quite problem free, or run the risk of lesser issues happening.
