In Game Music

Does anyone else feel that the in game music becomes slightly off-putting when you put on the game since you have hears this song so often? To me recently it makes the game feel far too serious and almost depressing, its just the mood it creates for me. It would be much nicer if I could play my own music. But I like the twist they create to have more dramatic music playing when something is attacking you, very useful.
What do you think?

I like the in-game music, makes the game feel more epic.
You can play ur own mp3 files by putting them into:
Data Files\Music\Explore\
Edit: ops sorry didnt see ur sig! (Xbox)

I enjoy hearing the music...about once every six months, for an hour. It's well-written, and attractive in a half-Celtic, half-Elgarian sorta way. But if I don't run it, I can just as easily put a CD in my portable and listen to anything of my choice.

When I first played Morrowind, I thought that the music really added to the feeling of the game, which was of course a mixture between adventure and wonder (as in, "I wonder how long it took to make this game" or "I wonder if the developers had outside lives" ). Of course, about four minutes later when the music loop restarted I thought "Uhhhhh, shouldn't there be more music?". But now, the music just seems to be part of the game, and if I were to load my file one day to find new music playing, I just don't think the game would be quite the same, not so much due to the music playing, but because it would just be a wierd change, and we fear change.

I put some music of Piazzolla in my explore folder, it really fits the morrowind atmosphere (although it can be a bit melancholic sometimes). I know you're on X-Box, but you can just play the cd's you like.

Well i have mainly music by Hans Zimmer and Inon Zur (last guys name right)
But now i use as explore music songs created by Franz Ferdinand, Kwan, Nightwish, + some realy old classics.. like ''hold me out for an hero'' i have 5 versions of it.. then flashdance..
But as for battle music.. i use Lordi and Rammstein.. few Nightwish songs too..
But only thing wich is realy annoying is that kwama forager attacks you and after that song wich played before starts again..

I think putting your own music is cool, but I hate the problem with the combat music because the fights really don't take too much time and by the time I hear
FIIIRREEE!!!!
the fight is over and it goes back the explore music...

Mmmm, good idea....
Yeah, lifeishell, just mute down Morrowind and play whatever you want. The only time you need to turn up the volume again, really, is when you're at a daedric shrine or something. I mean, you've played this game how many times over? I'm sure it's no longer essential for you to hear the "You must be a thief, because you've stolen my heart"s, and the "Where is that slave... here not long ago..."s. Piazzola, though... now that's a good idea...

I really like the main theme of Morrowind but I wish it were longer.. My Brother-in-law made some variations on piano and plays around with it every once in a while.

Jopperm, at one point I recall Bethsoft selling a soundtrack that elaborated on that music. Can't say I've ever heard it, but it was sent out to reviewers when the game was first released.

That would be a good idea except for two faults:
(1) I cannot hear the dramatic music so I cannot tell if I am being attacked...
(2) I barely play Morrowind anymore, I know pretty much everything in the game and nothing is supriseing or exciting anymore
