I've been thinking. Do you guys actually *read read* any of the books? Like, to get in-depth information or just for fun?

I must say, because I play at my friend's and my time is limited, I really can't, or actually, I don't have time for that. Well I have read the riddle book (only a few riddles thou ) and that's about it. And what about the book that is worth 200 and the title is some weird language like Nkalta Kvallta! ?? Has any1 deciphered it?

As soon as I get my own PC (hopefully) I seriously wanna read more of the books. Actually my whole gaming is kinda munchkin. It's a shame. I don't *really* read the journals unless I really have to (e.g. quests) and usually I taunt and kill people with cool looking stuff. Too bad...for them!

I do a lot of reading of 'em, just for fun. When I was one of the gamemasters in an online MMORPG, I wrote more than a dozen books of their library, in different styles. They add a great deal of flavor to the game, when they're done well.

I read just a few to see whether or not they actually DID write stories all the way through or not for each of the books. I thought it was awesome they did. I didn't bother after that though.

Incidentally, there's a mod out there called Book Rotate 5.2. It lets you actually rotate books to place 'em on shelves, and it "senses" the presence of books nearby to snap-to-fit. Certainly helps keep them from looking a college dorm.

Thats pretty cool someone actually took the time to do that.

Well.. yes i do read books.. well if they give me some stat bonus ofcourse i will read those.. i want to know why my skill x rose by 1 level..

But last book i red was ''unnamed book''..

The books in Morrowind are awesome. Some of the stories, with a little expansion, are actually fit for publishing.

I actually take the time to read a lot of them.Especially since I recently finished all three main quests I have almost nothing to do.So reading the books are quite fun.

I personally love reading the books in the game. I've turned Velas Manor in Mournhold into my personal library, which contains absolutely EVERY non-mod book in the game except for the 36 lessons of vivec (because I don't have enough room) and Charwiich-Koninge volume 3 (Because I CAN"T FIND IT ANYWHERE ). I've read all of them too (except the real Barenziah, because it's too much like an ACTUAL book [although I was considering reading it recently] )

So far I've read every book I encountered in Morrowind, save the Brief History ot Empire serie. They are really well made and interesting to read

PS: Alien, as far as I remember, I found two copies of Charwig vIII in Tel Uvirith, one on a certain NPC and the other lying around in the upper level

So, wait. Is the second one on an npc IN tel uvirith because i'm not a telvanni and, as such, can't exactly access my non-existent tower

Well as soon as I get my own PC I'll try to really roleplay, pick a pre-generated class like the Crusader and then actually read the books for in-depth knowledge...

So you're saying that for you to roleplay, you can't make up your own background that allows you to alllocate skills accordingly? And that reading your journal, which you yourself (in good roleplaying fashion) write inside the game, makes you a paladin?

Well, um, yeah pretty much it. Because I play at my friend's house and my time is limited, I really can't bother *really* looking what e.g. Caius has to tell me. I just see the

"Your journal has been updated"

And then move on and act accordingly. And talk about the Camonna Tong or the inside clashes between the Great Houses. I really can't be bothered with that.

But if I had my OWN PC, unlimited freetime, I could get myself into the game. Now I'm just with the cool stuff and levels. It's a shame...

Oh--playing at a friend's house? You have my sympathies. Most of the fun in MW from my perspective comes in taking your time, finding all the details, and of course, adding all those mods that just increase the level of detail. Don't you have a PC at home? By now, the game must be pretty cheap.

Even if you're not Telvanni the stronghold will still show up from the moment your own stronghold is built. You should be able to find Tel Uvirith in the Molag Amur Region.

I don't own a PC, that's the problem. I love MW, but I need *TIME* to play it...

I read them all, or at least all that I could get my hands on.

Come to think of it, my greatest puzzle in this game, still unsolved, comes from a book. I'd have to start the game up again to remember the name but it was about some Dwemer ruins that are supposed to be really something, and there are directions but I just can't find them. I have spent hours going over and over that terrain and zip. Nada. I wonder if they aren't even there. But I can't give up. I love the books
