Ok, I'm against ming xiao or xaio or whatever.
I'm a tremere with full thaugametry and full dominate. I use guns and have defense feat.
I discovered that if you get really close at her she usually misses.
I also discoverd that shooting the tentacles deals more damge, and you have to kill the tentacles that fall off,
But this is insane! She has, what, 700 hp?? I use bloodshield on the start and bomb her with blood strikes. that does her about 180-160 dmg. then i'm stuck with my Spas (which I have only 18 rounds in), a Colt Anaconda, and a Brok .19.
I also have a Braddock 9mm but, umm, that doesn't count.
It's only a matter of time till she whacks me enough till i'm dead.
any suggestions?

Try the flamethrower, it'll lower her hp down to about 50% before the ammo runs out.

I bet u don't wanna revert to an older save, so add one through the console:

give item_w_flamethrower

That's the code for it, u know how to activate the console right?

If you don't want to cheat remember that time is on your side.
You will completly heal in a minute or two. She regens some health ,too
but at a much slower rate. So just hit and run until she is dead.

I think this is the 5. thread of its kind. It would really pay off to do a search if you need further advice

And I searched the whole site for a thread that helps against her, and all I found were threads about the jade figuraines. so this is quite. the first one

Once you knock off the first two tenacles, you can run circles around her and she can't hit you from a distance. Just dodge the spit projectiles. Use your discipline magic to hurt her and use blood packs to both regain blood and health.

I finally defeated her with an average Malkavian, by running in close under the head and slashing away with the Tal'mahe'Ra blade found in the Sabbat hotel/HQ. It seems she has a more difficult time hitting you when you are there and will try to back up. When a tenacle fell off, I concentrated on taking it out, then turned my attention back to the Ming-Beast.

Once Ming was below 25% I ignored the tenacle beasts and concentrated everything on Ming. Once she dies, they die too.

I used vision of death (lvl 3 Demention) and blood buff only for disciplines. I have not played a Tremere against her but I would suggest blood salvo and suicide against her. Though you can use blood boil, it does cost more to cast. The question is does it do more than twice the damage for the cost of suicide

If you think she is hard, you have something harder to manage soon afterwards. Make sure you visit a vendor to stock up on supplies.

She was really easy when I fought her as a Tremere. Flamethrower ate up half her life really fast. Then the blood strike bombard works great. I had an elder vitae to recharge since I had to move a bit with the bloodstrikes and lost some of the blood that would have come back. She was really easy for me. Not sure what's really different for you. Sorry if that's no help. =\

My had an easy time against her. I used the flamethrower sparingly, burning her for a second or two and waiting 'till her health stopped decreasing, then burning her again. Occasionally I threw in a Blood Strike for good measure.

If you can beat Ming Xiao, the rest of the game is pretty easy. The Sherrif is fairly wimpy, and I won't even comment LaCroix...

I beat It really easy whith my tremer :
I use a catana
And Purge
Purge make it a bit knot out ...

Just be in a corner and other monster can't attaque you ...
Then use Purge as same speed tour life go down
and drink a few blood you by from the clinic (ask the cab) ...

Sneak rules - or, I love cheese

Use sneak and run behind her as soon as she turns into that dragon thingy - crouch behind her right in front of the buddha statue.

Use your rifle and shoot away. She will never see you. You can just unload all your firearms on her till she dies.

I discovered this because I was tremere the first time and didn't have the flamethrower.

I tried to add a flamethrower and the game just got stuck.
I also tried to cut her 2 first arms but she still attacks long range.
I also have only about 2/3 of maximum blood, and no blood packs. I don't have any money left to buy blood. you hardly get any money in this game.
oh, and the budhah thing didn't help. guess it's because I don't have alot of stealth. any other suggestions?

The freezing(thats what u meant with getting stuck right?) problem appears when u use the console, to get back in-game type the following in the console : chareditor

With my gangrel (did it twice), I just warformed and cut out some tentacles, then backed up in an alcove and shot the freak with my .44. Aim at the head. never even needed a blood pack.

Blood strike has little affect on her.Use blood shield when combat begins and blood boil discipline will make 145 minimum damage.By using 6 or 7 blood boil she will be finished.Besides that if u re using a katana, after cutting 2 of her tentacles make circles around her.she wont touch you from range easily.dont use ur disciplinces on the minions growth from her tentacles.Kill them them with ur melee weapons.use at least blue bloodpacks the gain blood and health.if u made the camarilla quest before and gained the item from Max Strauss' chantry it would be more easily to beat her with Blood Boil.When u re fighting with her growth tentacles try not to be between real ming Xiao and the false one.Be sure the real one is behind the false one.if u re not specialized with melee weapons use the flame thrower to see the tremendous affect at the beginning of the combat.Dominate disciplines has little affect aganist bosses.Use auspex the gain defense feat.it is really important. With 5 auspex skill she touched me 2 or 3 times.i finished the game by a brujah, Nosferatu and a tremere character and i think tremere was the most effective aganist her.

Sorry i didnt see u hadn't any bloodpacks.u have the chalice right? use the chalice to gain blood if u have it.for u i played my saved game without using blood disciplines.She killed me 4 times but i killed it by making circles around her.İ only use bloodpuff 2 times and when i see one of tentacle aiming to me i pressed toggle weapon key to gain dex bonus that comes from bloodpuff.She missed two times by making that.I think it s very important not to be between 2 or 3 of them.then u r really vulnerable.Be sure real one is behind the one u re fighting.İf all of these didnt make any sense then raise ur hands and beg " Caine, my father my sire please help me to show the power of real kindred dont let ur childe fall to a thin blooded *****"
