Sri's Alchemy

I've heard allot about this mod, and that it's pretty good, but during the description it says "removes fortify intelligence from the game" and I was wondering, does it mean just for potions, or does it mean that you can't make fortify intelligence spells either, because my character is fairly dependant on his necromancer's amulet and personal shield to make him look more intelligent than he actually is. I mean, I wouldn't want him looking stupid, would I?

I know it isn't exactly a hard question, but any help would be apreciated.

It affects enchantments and potions you make, but nothing else. The amulet you get off a certain mage guild leader still works as a result. Sri's also adds several new ingredients to the game, and is probably the most frequently used alchemy tweak mod around. I like it a lot. :)

Well, that's reassuring. Thanks for the info.

So, does that mean I can't enchant with fortify intelligence while it's active?
Not that it poses a problem (I could always disable it, enchant and re-enable it), but it would be good to know.

That's what it means, but if you have any mods that add items with Fortify Intelligence, they'll still take effect. I wouldn't suggest disabling/enabling Sri's repeatedly, since that will cause you to lose any alchemical ingredients introduced by the mod. As soon as you disable/reenable it, the mod will reset with the ingredients out of your possession.

Here's a list of the effects Sri has:

No more fortify intelligence potions or ingredient effects.

New effects: fortify/drain enchant, fortify/drain conjuration, fire damage, frost damage.

New ingredients: wolf ribs, wolf meat, bear fat, bear meat. There are a total of 125 ingredients with Morrowind, Tribunal, Bloodmoon, and Sri's.

Changes to existing ingredients to support new effects, to prevent four matching effects on two or more ingredients, and to eliminate effects that were only found on one ingredient.

Bloodmoon ingredients have been added to random ingredient lists, so they'll be found throughout the game.

Personally, I think that if you can't live with the restrictions, don't "cheat" the mod--and yourself. The challenges make it more rewarding, IMO. ;)
