Where is the Weekapaug Thistle?

The weekapaug thistle is supposed to be on the second floor of the ocean house hotel, but I didn't find it the first time through and can't find it now... Is it that I'm blind, or is it actually somewhere else (another floor?) or you don't get it if you defence is too high?

I guess I need a pinpoint location to find that freaking twig...

The first floor is upstairs and the floor below is ground level, so the second floor is actually the 3rd floor up.. when you get to the point where the ghost drops the elevator on top of you if you climb the ladder to reach the highest point and then turn right, you just go into the first openable door and the item is on a nightstand next to the bed, if you have already done this mission it's impossible to get back up there as far as i know.

Oh man, forgot the american way on 1st being the ground floor...

Yeah the americans way of doing it is confusing, but if you play this game you should notice that in all elevators G is the ground level and 1st floor is one up, it's an easy mistake to make though.
