Galtok and his hidden things (possible spoilers)

When you enter the area "Naskel mines" you run across a man who is chased by a group of kobolds. He mentioned that he had been captured by the kobolds a short time ago. They had tortured him and hidden all of his belongings. Is it possible that all those things that lays hidden in some areas is his belongings? Like the ring of wizardry, ring of protection +1? Becasue he mentions a wand and some weapons... does is make sence?
seriously i can't understand why they would be his but i think it's possible, i guess
