Possible Spoiler: Email from Gary?

What's the point with the email you get from Gary (the one in which he asks you to put a tape, a cd-rom and then a tape agian in your mailbox)? He says he'll pay you in form of a poster or something. I tried this, and I sent him all three of those things but I didn't get anything back. What am I doing wrong? I did exit and enter my haven before i checked the mailbox.
And what's the point of all this? It's not like the other quests as it doesn't appear in your log.

Sorry, I saw that just now. I thought he'd deliver them into my mailbox and I'd have to check my inventory to view them.

Er... I got that email, but I was unable to find not a single item of those three... where could I get them?

P.S.: Where could I find the stake? I already finished the game and I´m replaying now with a malkavian, but I can´t find that bloodie stake (and, btw, I can´t get the Thini blood quest)

I think you'll find a stake at the Santa monica peer, near the wooden stairs that get you up the there, although I don't know what's its use...

On a somewhat related note, what does that stake do? I mean in a game about vampires you would think a stake would be a useful item, but you can't even equip it as a weapon. Is there a special quest that involves using it or is it just a red herring?

As I already said, if you talk to the guy in dark t-shirt by the beach in Santa Monica (one of those 4 thinni blood guys) he will ask you 2 things...
1º Who is the vampire master? (he think that killing that "vamp masta" all the vamps around the world will become humans again hehehe) (once you sell him the "Holly Stake" rofl you can well send him agains Nines, Lacroix or Bush)
2º Does blood transfusion heals vampirism? (aye, but only if you use "this" Unicorn blood)(you can sell him normal blood for 120 $ each hehehe)

Alright, they appear in your haven automagically. The Santa Monica haven its pretty apparent where they are... its a small place, easy to see.
For the Downtown haven, the VV one appears by your computer (on the right wall as you look at the comp), the Damsel one by your fish tank (to the right), the Jeanatte one by the island in your kitchen (as you walk in, in front of the coffee table, left of the island-counter thing), and the Ming Xiao one is at the base of the staircase (go down the stairs and look straight ahead, its right there).
Go have fun with them!

I have a CD rom I found near Garys lair, tried stuffing that into the mail box and it wont let me put that in. I put the stake in but I cant find the tape. Where is the needed tape and the right cd-rom????

That CD ROM u found is a quest for Bertram, as for the correct CD; it can be found in Metal Head Industries.
Don't know which tape u mean but one can be found inside the Chinese Theatre and one inside the same apartment as Mercurio inside a box.

Jeez... I´m sorry to be so troublemaker but... I killed that gargoyle and spent almost 15 minutes looking for that tape-cd-whatever finding not a single item there... sigh... Could I get any advice on were exactly are those three items?
1º Inside the (follows in black)trunk in the apartment oposite Mercurio´s (ends black text)
2º Inside the (follows in black)closet at the office upstair, inside Metal Head Industries (ends black text)
3º .... er... where?
