Hi @ all,
i've got a problem installing ID2. When i put in cd2, after a while, the message "cd0 is required...data4.cab" appears. I couldnt find any help in the web so i installed the minimun version and it worked BUT now i get strange errors and get kicked out of the game when talking to certain persons which are necessary for proceeding the game.Well....I would be glad if someone could help me out coz this game is really awesome. Thanks in advance

hmm.....another thing: does the file "data4.cab" exist at all or is my search for it senseless?

this really sux. i cant install ID2 with the same cds I installed it many times before coz this "data4.cab" misses. i tried this DMA thing but this didnt work aswell. well.....now i've been a bad guy and DLed the game (but i felt like i'm allowed to coz i bought the game before) and the same error comes up. The damn data4.cab misses. When i tried to install anoher game, the same error appears. I doubt that this has something to do with the cds, but rather with something intern...a virus??? i dunno! does anyone know anything about this?

hmmm....thats a pity! neocool, i have different antivir progs but they couldnt find any virus. where i wanted to get was if this problem can be due to a virus in general. or do u have experience in this case and those programs solved it?

Have you tried the cd in a different cd-rom, that could be the problem.
