I've decided to test the Pal - Rng to lvl 10 + including the Mnk & Brb/Rog build, with Meleny & Spugnoir as Npc's....

What on earth happens when they ( ? ) reach level 10 ?? or more ??

Hmmm... I had to find out, especially since the latest .dll promised 6+ spells & lots of stuff for the Monk...

The latest 'Moebius' .dll seems to fix the latest problems...
...---beware for new users---download not only the CO8 patch, but also Moebius's latest . DLL !!! or your game is likely to crash on start..

Is there a 10 ++ opton for all characters ?? I had to find out, since the latest patch from the CO8 team gave me the max lvl 20 option...Whohaaa..

I remembered the last fights at lvl 10 at 'little' XP rewarding....so can a party of 5 ( + 2 Npc's ) reach lvl 20 ...??

Party is :

Human Paladin ( ??? over 10 ??? )TRUE
1/2 Elf Ranger ( ??? over 10 ??? )TRUE
Half-Orc Monk ( ??? over 10 ??? ) TRUE
Half-Orc Rog/Brb ( POWER !! ) 1/1
Human Cleric ( ??? over 10 crafter )

+ Spugnoir ( my favorite WIZ ) & + Meleny ( the Married druid ..!)

First of all : SPUGY start witjh all crafting skills - i cannot remember if this is my doing or Moebius,,I did a lot of fiddeling before..but the original game seemes to prevail here...

Homlet Quests are fine - the old order of doing things work fine..
- the quest for Paida is still tied to Lawful Good though..

The Drinking Contest 'Falls' the Pal. no matter who does the quest : at this point 2000 gold is NOT worth 160 XP !! ( the price to 'atone' for the Pal )
Moathouse : Lareth still has no Domain Spells...Leaves group upon entering/exiting level 2 of TOEE..
Nulb : Killing Tolub makes PAL fall ; Courting Lodriss makes PAL fall : in effect : beeing PAL maks PAL fall...!!
Nulb : Porkys Revenge ( CO8 patch quest remade ) does not trigger if 'Monas' quest is done first...(triggers but does not succede ) Mickey appears at random seeds in Nulb / Night....
Otis attacks group if Elmo dead....( random..reload worked fine ?? )

Three things:

1. The Moebius .dll doesn't promise 6th level or higher spells, it promises 6th and higher spell level slots. This basically opens the door for somebody to mod in some 6th level spells, or you can use the slots for meta-magic-ed lower-level level spells (widened and empowered ice storm, e.g.).

2. I think it's probably impossible to get all the way to level 20 without using the console to boost your exp or something. You could get up to 12 or 13, probably, but not 20.

3. The paladin falling in all these situations is normal (i.e., it's not a bug). It's intentional. Paladins can't carouse, and they can't fraternize with seedy degenerates either. So, yeah, if you have a paladin, the drinking game is a bad idea. But you make it sound like this is a bug the .dll should fix, when it's really not. Am I misreading you?

Hey , I agree with you about PAL's in the long run, -but-

The original game had the PAL Fall if he did the drinking, but let him stay OK if another PC did it

( IMO,- RIGHT, the PAL didn't drink, ergo he didn' partake etc...)
Same sa having a PAL in a group including a Rouge, - ever bickering, - working for the 'Greater Good'

He FALLS anyway , OK so be it. !! Beeing 'part' of a drunken group, OK,OK. A PAL adventuring with a 'beer' loving Dwarf Fighter ???? NICE DWARF, BEEER LOVING;PAL FALLING ??? NO !!

AS to Lodriss the game let's you 'ACCEPT' the assassination quest with another PC, but , if you do it, You fall. This is RIGHT, I THINK. Reading 'Skole's' Plan' don't make you fall, if yoiu reveal the plot to Lodrisss


But, IF, you attack Tolub aftrr the 'DUEL' you FALL. Tolub 'isn't Evil', but he is an extorting, 'Homlet-Hating' Pirate, that makes everybodys lives miserable.
I Fail to see the 'fallen' PAL in attacking him, unless you provoke the fight. Bertrand handled correctively let's you fight him fair & squaire, and FALL.

HMMMM...Lawful Good = Lawful PainInTheAss...

Doing the drinking with PAL = Fallen = yes
Beeing Assasssin With PAL = Fallen = yes
Killing 'godfather Mafia' Tolub with Pal = Fallen = NO (IMO)


No, And i don'y think it's a Bug either. Killing a Neuttral Snake is an evil act and makes you fall if you do so for an evil asdversary,


Killing the very same Snake for a 'Good' Church, is considered a benevolent , Merciful, Paladinacting act. Anyway, the Snake is Dead
