Heres the problem, i've been instructed to kill two vampires with my PURGE powers in the tutioral but no matter how many times i do it, they won't die and it says you didn't use PURGE to kill them. What is going on and how do i pass this?

If you read carefully, it says "Use purge and then equip your tire iron to kill them" or something along those lines. So once you've got 'em coughing up the good stuff, beat them silly!

ya i tried that too! Once I was done hitting them with the tire iron after they had been purged it still kept saying you didn't use PURGE to kill them...

Now that's just weird.

I've only tried blood magic during the tutorial, and it worked without a hitch. Hope some of the more experienced guys can tell you.

As a multiple tremere player I can confidently say it's a bug. You could try purging them untill they die....

That is a weird bug...maybe you could try beating them to an inch of their unlives, and use purge to take that extra inch? It's gonna be hard to gauge how much health they have left, though...

Wow that suck big time if I couldn't get passed the Tutioral because of a bug I'm gonna try doing what you said to do holy. And thanks to you guys for responding and trying to help means a lot

Crummy way around

OK so restart the totorial and add to Dominate instead. After all you are only in the Totorial.

Yup it's definitely a glitch. I tried what you told me to do HOLY and the sabbath were killed but then it wouldn't let me move on from the room, meaning theres definitely a glitch, gee that bites!

I am having the exact same problem

Has anyone found a work-around? I am playing a Tremere, and I have tried every conceivable combination of purge and crowbar, to no avail. I purge them to death without even touching them, and it tells me I did not kill them using Purge. I crowbar then purge, no good. I purge then crowbar, no good. I purge then sneak up and "silent kill", no good.

Help?

No solutions here. But the tutorial sure has some problems. On my first time through, I couldn't choose my fists as a weapon. Reloading the game did nothing. But everything worked when I started another game.

I used the noclip cheat and it luckily worked

I got tired of bashing my brains out, trying to effect a solution the non-cheating way. I had to noclip my way all the way to the end of the tutorial, where my "helpful" friend was waiting for me. Funny thing was, he didn't remember me at all, so I told him to get lost and found myself inside my apartment. Lucky me.

Interestingly enough, I even had problems installing the game. Disc 2 had two dialog files that had CRC errors, and the only way I was able to install the game was to copy the rest of the files to my Hard Drive and burn myself a copy of disc 2 using two other mp3 files in place of the corrupt ones. Good thing for subtitles, because when I finally meet up with whomever is supposed to say that dialog it isn't going to match what he is supposed to be saying.

Better the devil you know... Then again, it's acitivsion, I've been pulling my hair it with this lot since river raid and pitfall!

Tutorial Purge Observation

I ran across this problem when creating my character and using the glitch
that allows extra points. When I added more points beyond Purge in that catagory, then the tutorial throws that message. You can add more points in the other disciplines and there is no problem.
