I just can't get passed the metal head part- no one has spotted me, at all!

I have no idea where I'm going wrong

I also have problems with that part. Somebody tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I got in, sneaked into the room on the first floor, opened the door to operations room, sneaked to the 2nd floor, unlocked the safe, hacked the password to net security and typed in "schrecknet". I gained no xp, just a message from M1tn1ck, something like

"Suxors. You failed you frickin n00b, you'll never hear from me again." Schrecknet hub disconnecting.

I went back to my haven, and there were no new messages. I went to nosferatu burrows, Mitnick wasn't there.

Does anyone have any idea about what I'm doing wrong?

Did you unlock the safe first? I always made sure to enable the network first ... I had a tough time with my low-sneak Tremere, but made it, and my high-sneak Brujah with celerity just breezed up, did it and left. There are several guys, none can spot you.

So I *have* to enable it first... One more question. Am I allowed to use Trance? I don't get a log update "quest failed" when I use it.

i used Trance and i completed the quest successfully

And I don't know if you *have* to enable it first ... I just know it is my primary mission there, so I always do. And I never saw a failure message.

You can use any trick in the book but you MUST NOT kill anyone. Not even stealth killing. After Mitnick sends you the message you are free to dispose of those suckers.

What message are you supposed to get?

Anyone? Which message do you get if you pass the mission?

He'll say on the computer, "Good job! Head back to your haven now." Or something like that. You'll get a "Quest Log Updated" "Quest Completed" "XP Gained" popups, and that's about it I think. That's when you get to the computer... you still have to get out after that without being detected to get his next mission, I think.

I can't seem to get it to work at all I even used the console command so they wouldn't notice me and I still get the failure message from him but never the failed quest in my log? any idea? Oh I have a sneak total of 6 (1 from stealth, 5 dex)

Same as Tawni...

The sneaking bit works the same as for Tawni's pad - you can feed or trance providing that it is done as if a stealth kill - so that the person did NOT see you first. also, you can throw boxes to distract the guards without breaking the quest.
be crouched when you open the outside door then sneak to the right and round into the computer room to unlock the door, sneak to the corner and go up the stairs after the guard has turned his back then do net security then unlock the safe (for Gary's disc) - on the way out, I tranced the guard that hangs out near the cabin door and then for fun, tranced the other guards on the way past. showboating.

Yes I do, You have to get passed everyone, no one may spot you, and you have to hack(or type the password) on the net security first(pw: bang your head), after that you can open da safe, pw: turbo lover, after that, you may not be detected on the way out, if youll be, you'll fail the quest,,
