They still haven't fixed the performance issues and memory leak. Animations still look lame. It took them one month only to fix the crash on the main quest a few minor bugs ?

Too bad they didn't release an SDK along with the patch, guess they didnt have time or something like that..

Not trying to sound ungrateful or anything. :)

I don't want to sound like whining but probably Dan's patch fixed more problems than this one ;)

More things, but this patch fixes some of the bigger problems (like the problem with the keys).

@Outerparadise what's an SDK?

SDK means: Software Development Kit
Kind of a toolset, if Troika released an SDK for Bloodlines we would be able to tinker around with the game's scripts in a much easier way etc

Valve Custom Source Tool let you play with Bloodlines RAD files.

I'll be curious to see whether the official and unofficial patch work well together, seeing as they don't really interact that much on the surface.

I installed the official patch on top of Dan's, without problems, so far. I've read in other forums that many did the same. It's too early to say if there are any problems but, hopefully, no.

Well, Darkwarlock... could you give us some more information? For example, whenever the game crashes, a logfile is created in your game directory (usually C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire Bloodlines). Could you post the first lines of that? Also... what video card are you running? Do you have the most updated drivers? Do you have at least a 1400 mb page file (that's the official minimum as of the 1.2 patch, though you should probably keep it at 8000 mb or so if you have the space). Are you using Dan_Upright's unofficial patch? Where exactly do you crash? We want to help you, but if you only tell us it crashes without any other information, there's very little we can do except ask questions and give vague tips like above.

Actually, I just started a new game with the new patch... wow. The opening cutscene, which in my opinion, was horendous... is now completely fixed. When you get staked in your apartment, the character that breaks down the door and stakes you actually moves fluidly instead of floating in. Same with the others that stake your sire... they used to look VERY cludgy, but now look perfectly acceptable. (I was showing the movie to a friend, and told him to prepare for a really lame moment, only to see this... quite amusing). Also, the lackluster beheading-- gone! Replaced with a zoom in on the shocked VV. Other little details are different as well... the vampires no longer glide out... they really walk, etc. I'm sure there are other little touches like this in the patch, and so I just wanted to make it clear that Troika indeed has done *something* (though certainly not enough).

Patch 1.5

Today I found a page (going through history...) HERE IS THE LINK where their saying it's 1.5 patch.

Unfortunately at the time being I am doing the defragmentation of my games disk, so I still did not try to install it. Even so, since I am one of those who are experiencing big time lags (although my system is close to superb :D ) I did not come far in the game to even realize if players will benefit or not with install.

Just for you to know, more details tomorrow.
