Is there a way to make summoned creatures NOT try to help you when can't open a locked chest? Having your summoned creatures attacking chests when its suppose to atack enemies is very frustrating. Its still attcking the chest even after my familiar had unlocked it. -_-''

To get a summoned creature to stop attacking a chest use the radial menu for the creaure and select "hold your ground." Henchmen and familiars can be spoken to and told to not help you open locked chests.

I'm not sure why'd you'd want to tackle chests during combat. In almost all cases it's better to wait until the action is over so you can take your "20." If a creature starts attacking a chest you shift into combat mode, so once you get them to stop wait a few seconds to drop back into non-combat before trying the lock, otherwise you're stuck with a random skill roll rather than a 20.

I don't understand that "take your 20," could you explain it to me?

You roll a 20-sided die to see if your lockpicking skill beats the complexity of the lock (you might notice these rolls in your information window). If you know the lock is there, and if you're not in combat, then you always roll a 20.
