Ok. I have lots of MW experience, but haven't played for 6 months or so, having lent the game to a friend. What is a good all round class to start with for the most fun game, yet still a challenge?

-TIA
Giles :)

I'm on X-Box :) And i'm not really too picky, as long as it make the game fun, and stimulating (especially in the earlier stages of the game) and stimulating. I don't want to get to Balmora, and think, 'This is lame I'm gonna stop' like i have with so many previous characters.

Well you start your game in Ald Ruhn... or in Vivec.. lots of small quests and tombs/cabes near... but then that is quite common start... you could also travel to Dagon Fel and start you game from there..

My point remains, after a few minutes of play i shall get bored, and not enjoy playing any more.

Make a custom class. I enjoy playing a Mage/Thief or a Fighter/Mage.

-Alchemy
-Sneak
-Mysticism

Minor Skills
-Alteration

Well my present char is almost like that..

But as for BARD.. It is realy good class.. i realy liked using that.. IT IS ORIGINAL MORROWIND CLASS.. like Spellsword and Nightblade..

Illusionist..

He/she has ILLUSION... there could be other skills.. but that is what he uses..

COMMUNIST

HAMMERS and HEAVY ARMOR(for Russian armory).. DESTRUCTION (for Russian firepower) ATLETICS (for Russian endurance..) ALCHEMY (for Russian umm... something)

Rest is up to you..

Or try the Luckyman Class: make any character you want, then use cheats to set all his skills and atrributes to 5, and set luck to 5000. See if it works :D

How about an Altmer mage/thief?
All of those racial weaknesses would provide plenty of challenge, at least in the beginning.

Personally I find mage/thief combos the most fun to play. If, in battles, you are relying on spells, and a ranged weapon, (along with sneak) it keeps things more interesting than if you are mindlessly hacking away with a melee weapon.

Race: Altmer

Custom Class: Shadow Mage

Specialization: Stealth or Magic Arts

Main Attributes: Intelligence and Agility

Birth Sign: Mage or Atronach

For Major and Minor skills combine 10 of the following:

*Destruction

*Marksman (it is good to have a ranged backup when your magicka runs dry)

*Alchemy (think of yourself as a kind of assassin that likes to brew up nasty potions...)

*Illusion

*Alteration

*Mysticism

*Enchant (?)

*Sneak

*Light Armor

*Unarmored

*Blunt Weapons and/or Short Sword. Though try not to use melee..

Just some thoughts anyway...

Race: Orc
Specialization: Magic
Name: Shub-Shub
Main Att.: Intelligence + Speed

Custom Class: Enchanted Warrior

Major:
Spear
Conjuration
Mysticim
Alteration
Block

Minor:
Light Armour
Enchant
Axe
Destruction
Speechcraft

You can tell that a Orc Mage/Fighter will be a challenge :p But I had 1/2 of it fighter because otherwise it will be far to har dto do, which I am doing with my all magic character, but that is with an Altmer ;)

Orc pure wizard isn't hard.... lot easier than Altmer pure wizard...

But as for that Orc name...

lol..

Shub-Shub... havent you met any Orc yet?

every Orc has name like this...

Gzag gro-Butg.. there is always that ''gro-'' before last name.. But i am not sure is it ''gro-'' but main thing is that there is ''gro'' in every orc name..

I am very aware of this Wrath-of-Egg, but I was just playing a little, I am very aware that there is always a "gro-" before the last name for male Orc's, and a "gra-" before female Orc's
