Working for Mistress Bodhi

Post by Morkwin The Pusilamious »

OK. Here's something I don't yet seem to have heard discussed. My party of inexperienced. knuckle-dragging, sword-fumbling idiots are just about to leave the promenade area at night when they are approached by Valen asking me to go see her mistress in the graveyard area - the meeting is stipulated to be after dark. So we go and we get approached by Bodhi. Plain and simple, she asks us - without threat and with plenty of bribes - to work with her against the Shadow Thieves. Because my party is all - mostly - good, I turn her down and she goes off with a few mumbled threats to her crypt where, I imagine, I'll meet her later. But amongst the promises she made me was the incentive that SHE would help me find Imoen and also Irenicus. Since I think working for her would be the 'evil' choice and my team is good, I didn't take her up on the offer. Can anyone tell me if they did accept her offer and how the rest of the game changed for them? My main character, if it's any help, is true neutral and my encounter with Bodhi and her servant occurred before the completion of Chapter 2. Help, please?

Don't worry, the Shadow Thieves will make you a counter offer, with the same reward.

As it is, working for the Shadow Thieves is - in the end - far more beneficial than working for Bodhi.

Thanks. I guessed the Shadows would make me a counter-offer - which I intend to take - I just wanted to know if working for Bodhi, a major boss, would change the way the game played and if it would affect the way I interacted with Irenicus.

I took Bodhi on her offer. This way saved a lot of time, becuase u only have 2 do some small 'quest' (exterminate the shadow thieves). This gets u some nice items and the fact that shadow thieves are very weak (compared 2 vampires that will kick your ass at that stadium) helps a lot. I would choose Bodhi if u have done alll the side quest that involve Edwin, Mae'var and the rest of the shadow thieves.

Dont be afraid 2 go with Bodhi (it will not change the story that much)

SPOILER

You might get help from the Shadow Theives halfway through when you return from the underdark so i wouldn't take Bohdi's tasks, i did take her first time because i forgot where Gaelan Bayle was and i couldn't be bothered to search for him, but on second try Shadow Theives give you the amulet of power which is class Image and the Katana+2 is in Bodhi's layer aswell, i can't think of anything you get from doing the Bodhi tasks
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Since you're slaughtering the shadow thieves you still get the Amulet of power (and some other stuff).

You get to go there twice. Once is before you head for Brynnlaw, and this will be given by the Master of the Shadow Thieves himself.

The second time the quest will be given after returning from the Underdark, by the elves you encounter then.
