Does anyone know what happens to spells such as wraith form and dimension door if you import a mage who knows them from BG1 to BG2? I heard somewhere that you can't use dimension door because teleporting around would mess up location triggered plot dialouge, but what about wraith form? It hasn't appeared on any list of BG2 spells i have come across, and i'm sure you can't learn it as a sorcerror, who is supposed to be able to learn all the spells availiable to the mage...well anyways i havn't tried cheating in the scrool on BG2, and i havn't imported a BG1 mage who knows it into BG2 (though intend to do a runthrough of BG1 and then do so soon) but as of right now i am curious if anyone knows whether it is possiable to have a BG2 mage that can cast wraith form (or any other spell that is obviously castable in BG1 but not BG2-if any others besides dimension door exist). And if this is possiable, does anyone know why the designers would have taken out wraith form?

Well you can't have spells in your spellbook that don't exist. So there's you answer.

well the spell does exist, at least in BG1, according to the guide on this site.
Wraithform: http://www.gamebanshee.com/baldursgate/ ... e.php#null
(its the very last on the list)

Yea, but if you have spells in your spellbook at the end of BG which don't exist in BG II why would you think they'd be there after you've imported the character. And what would tu tu do for transfering a spell from BG to BG II. It just doesn't make any sense.
