hi i play on xbox and my question is i notice when i play goty and i go inside a tomb or cave etc and i sneak behind a enemy i cant pickpocket also if i try to talk i get a message this character is in combat or if i fight hand to hand and nock him down and try to take his items i get the same message. my character has 100 in sneak and hand to hand. but wats weird is the same character in the original game can pickpocket or talk to enemies before a fight and some enemies train you also in hand to hand when the enemie is down i can steal some good items of him for istance bound items etc. thats why i like the original game better than goty. anyone else notice this.

hmm... i've never owned the original, but i have The GOTY Edition, and these problems never persisted for me. So i guess it's just you

as far as i know GOTY is patched on Xbox maybe that was something that was patched i havent trained my char high enough to test so i cant realy see

you cant pickpocket an enemy it has to be someone neutral and you cant talk to someone who is trying to attack you....and ive never been able to steal something when you knock someone on the ground with hand to hand...

like i said only in the original game for xbox if you nock someone down with hand to hand you can take their stuff i do it all the time also if you run to a enemy before he atacks you you can talk to him but i guess is just me.

yes and if you give them money and you talk to them they will stay nonhostile towards you..

The ability to knock somebody off and steal their stuff was quite usefull, especially when I had to get a certain key for a certain Khajiit from a certain Hlaalu noble...
Anyway, the patch takes this feature out of the game. It's never been implemented anymore, although there's a mod which does exactly this. But it causes some bugs as far as I know...
