I'm in SoU, Crypt Tower. I am on the 4th floor and I am trying to battle the greater wind zombie that comes out. I have a 8th lvl Cleric/4th lvl Paladin and I am using a +2 long sword with bless, prayer and a bunch of other buffs to kill this guy and get the Dead wind. However, I can't hit this guy/do any damage to him at all. WTF!?!? The longsword +2 is the most powerful weapon that I have so far and I can't turn him either.
How do I kill this guy?
Also, every time I fight this guy I'll fight him and the other zombies and all of a sudden they'll die and get re-born again.
What is that about?

There is little point in killing the greater wind zombie, since as you say he respawns all the time. I was a fighter there and the only time I managed to damage him was when I did a Critical hit and he got damaged by acid from my sword. Though, killing the regular wind zombies can give you some good exp. Myself, i just kill the Dead wind and leave the place.

OK thanks for the info. I actually killed him once when I went through the game with another character. She's was a 14th Cleric/6th fighter/1st thief and I didn't have too much problems with him. So, since I killed him once before, I was wondering why I had soooo many issues this time around.

I actually made it through by doing some massive buffs on my cleric. I gave her Greater Magic weapon and everything else I could think of and I was able to defeat the wind zombie after I got the Dead wind
