Of course. Character generation always allows for vanilla characters (plain mage, plain theif, plain fighter, etc.)

I prefer the stalker, but that's because I like to backstab myself, but you can stick with a regular one with my blessing. :)

Thanks. One last thing though. Does a human male wielding two axes + wearing chain mail sound too cumbersome for a "vanilla" ranger?

Well you can't hide in shadows with chainmail on unless it's blackdragon scale, and there's no axes what I remember as being all that fantastic. The blackdragon scale is my favorite ranger armour by the way.

I personally like axes - there are two that deal elemental damage, plus azuredge... the only downside (if you're a stalker) is they can't backstab.

Not sure about the chain though - I don't see any problem with it.

I was mostly interested in knowing if a double axe wielding Ranger with chain mail is possible or unheard of from a strictly roleplaying point of view. For example, a leather armored paladin armed with a short sword doesn't really describe a paladin, right?

Good point - what about a quarterstaff wielding thief? (I have one dualled over from a mage) :)

Guys, a few notes:

1) Put something brief about your topic in the thread title, then state your question at length in the first post.

2) Don't spam to move your thread to the top of the list. Everybody reads at least the first page here, and it's considered very impolite. Do it often enough, and you can get your posting privileges removed.

3) If you have additional questions to ask, start a new thread. That makes it easier to get answers for the group-at-large, who only see the original title.

As the original question's been answered, this thread is closed. ;)
