That's weird, I've never blown up the holocron before. Can't really help you.

it doesn't matter what level of demolitions you have, you always blow up that holocron...there is no way to access what's on it

hope that helps

in the 3 runthroughs, I've never blown up the holocron. Two of those runs, I've only had minimal demolitions skill. Sounds like a bug to me.

We got an e-mail earlier stating that with a high demolitions skill you get to view the undamaged holocron, so I added it... well, after seeing this thread I changed it, but kept the possibility open. If any of you can manage NOT to damage the holocron, send us an e-mail please. [edit: WITH your demolitions skill]

Thanks,

Tyson

I've done it twice, once with a low level Demo skill, once with a high...it's still broken. anyways, I don't think it would be important because, well, if you can't get it everytime, then obviously it's not important.

Also, I've read on a different walkthrough that is it always broken...

Obviously that other walkthrough is wrong then I guess. So, what happens when you view the holocron?

You can to get it. You have to have The dude with the spikes on his head with you. He will fix the door and open it.

Can you be more specific with regard to what the text says? Does it say [Repair] Fix the door.... or something like that?

my take on it

my first time it broke my second time was better. I had a high repair skill plus I used charges found on dxun. I dunno if that helps

I can't really remember, because Its been a while on my game But, I think when you walk up to it, and it says its broke, you have the opption for him to fix the door. Or I think He might just do it. I'm going through a secodn time, but Korriban was first place I went to, and I remember seeing it. And you Can't take The old lady, so I had Handmaiden and The spikey dude.

Blowing the door

My understanding is that the holocron gets destroyed if you're light side. It should be available if you're dark sided

Retry from start

That's for typing without my coffee. Should have said It depends on Revan being light or dark. This is chosen in the first conversation with Atton on Peragus.

Sorry for the error.

That was me.. I guess I just assumed it was Demolitions skill. Since I destroyed the holocron the first time, with like a demolitions of 3 at the end game, whereas the second (and third) time around I had a demolitions in the high teens and did not damage the holocron. Maybe it's random? I have no save near Korriban (I don't think so anyway) so I really can't test that theory anytime soon.
