Yes, I know I'm a lazy bastard, but I've been searching in the forums and there was so much information I couldn't find anything really useful. I think this is the fastest way.
I'm not romancing Jaheira, but I'm interested on the Harper's Pin, not only because it's a worthy item, but also because it gives you a lot of XP points.
How can I speed up the last Terminsel appearance? I know it can be done with SK or Clua, but I don't know exactly how to do it... I have aleady defeated Dermin and his companions, but I don't want to wait for too long.
By the way, I'm almost at the end of the game, I've just killed Bodhi and taken the Lanthern. I've heard that you can only receive the Harper's Pin at some moments during the game, is that true?

Anyway, in case he doesn't appear, how could I speed up the process?

Try this. Enable the CLUA Console (put Debug Mode = 1 into the baldur.ini file, and then in game press Control-Space) and then enter this:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("TerminselAppear","GLOBAL",1)


It is case sensitive. That -should- get him to spawn immediately.

No. You can get it if you're not romancing her. The problem is that the quest as released was terribly buggy, and it was a long shot to get it no matter what you did. The only way I've ever managed to get the pin without having to CLUA Console at some point (not romancing Jaheira) was with the patch, Baldurdash fixpack and the Ease-Of-Use Romance Bug fix (but none of the other romance-related Ease of Use mods).

ive gotten the harper pin before going rescuing imoen, and i didnt romance jaheira. might have been a bug, however it did take a long time since i had done just about every quest before i set off for imoen. anyway, by that time, it really isnt that valuable anymore imho

I'm pretty sure I've gotten the pin without romancing Jahiera and I've gotten it before going to spellhold naturally but the thing is I seem to remember the pin being very specific to the point no one in my party was able to use it, or it wasn't that good...

(It takes a horribly long time though...)

Yes, you can obtain the Harper's Pin without romancing Jaheira. In fact that's the reason why I'm not romancing her, because you can do all her quests wether you have a love relationship with her or not. Anyway, I've heard that it takes a much longer time to finish the quests if you are not romancing her, and perhaps you get more XP points if you do, I don't know...
I presonally prefer romancing Viconia, it seems harder from my point of view and you can still do Jaheira's quests. Besides, Viconia is so sexy hehe, sometimes I feel she should look great bearing a whip instead of a sling or a club...

1)You're right, in my post I said that you can only get the pin in chapter 6. I should have said that you can not get it after chapter 6 (Terminsel will not appear).

2)Only Jaheira can use the pin. I don't know why you wouldn't think it's that good, though. It's better than most amulets(The +5 save vs. Spells is good enough, and it also grants 100% immunity to electricity, immunity to Magic Missile, and Non-Detection).

I think the quests take a lot longer if you are romancing Jaheira. As a matter of fact, I think Jaheira's romance takes too long, and you don't get the pin until the very end of the romance.

Are you sure? I've read in the Romancing Guide by ww.sorcerers.net that it takes 5 days of real time (not in game time, real, ) for Terminsel to appear after you have broken Jaheira's romance. Probably this was a bug, and there must be a patch to fix that... I think someone in this very forum said something about this.
By the way, for those interested, you don't receive XP points if you receive the Harper's Pin but you are not romancing Jaheira. And you do need a very high reputation level!

A thief with UAI can use it and can actually also benefit from the non detection property (which jaheira wan't). It's a great amulet for Jaheira and an even greater one for a thief.

I so gotta get TOB, yeah the reason I didn't really like the amulet was because of the fact only Jahiera could use it and the fact that the enhancements weren't particularly useful for Jaheira in general.
